Planes from the WWII air battle over Europe - B-17G Flying Fortress, Fw 190, and Bf 109
Photos of my @planebricks B-17 and my Bf 109 + Fw 190 kits from @brickveteran . The B-17 came toe to toe with these fighters while engaging in bombing missions to destroy Axis targets in occupied Europe. I’ve included a photo I took of EAA’s own B-17G (Aluminum Overcast) as a reference.

Three new additions to my collection which include two F-35A models and another custom FA-35. The 493rd FS F-35A is built with a parts pack from @jg.bricks representing an F-35 based out of RAF Lakenheath in England. Making a return to my collection is an F-35A belonging to the 461st Flight Test Squadron based out of Edwards AFB, California.

B-17G Flying Fortress designed by @planebricks
This model of the B-17 represents a tail that would have flown with the 350th Bomb Squadron of the 100th Bomb Group. The 100th Bomb Group lives on today as the 100th Air Refueling Wing, based at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk. 100 ARW still flies jets with the “square D” group code on the tail as did their B-17s in WWII.
This particular airframe (42-31981) features a custom name and nose art done by @planebricks . The real aircraft served with the 350th Bomb Squadron and crash landed in the UK on May 15th, 1944.

Kept this video short to provide a quick overview of the model. This MC will go great with the CV-22B in my collection as the MC is the platform from which the Osprey air refuels with. Additionally, this MC-130J represents a tail that is flown by the 1st Special Operations Squadron of the 353rd SOW in Kadena AB, Japan.
