THE MADONNA OF ASIA will be a story told through luscious design, striking movement and hypnotic visuals. Bringing such a story to life would not be possible without the work of the effortlessly brilliant designers, choreographers and crew who we’re privileged to work with and to spotlight this week. First up we’re delighted to be working with Matt Burke whose beautiful work you can see onstage from the 28th April - 2nd May at The New Theatre. Matt is a lighting designer working across theatre, dance and opera. An MFA graduate of The Lir Academy, he has created designs for the Abbey Theatre, CoisCéim Dance Theatre, Ballet Ireland, the Royal Irish Academy of Music and Galway International Arts Festival. His award-winning work includes OFFSPRING (A Modern Frankenstein), recipient of Best Design at Dublin Fringe 2025. Matt is a lighting design tutor at The Lir Academy and continues to collaborate widely on contemporary performance in Ireland and internationally. You can get your tickets at the link in our bio and we look forward to seeing you there! #hongkong #design #theatre #whattodoindublin #madonna
