Not very good at taking pics or promptly posting them. Luckily @chrwaited is always lurking somewhere with a camera. Ended the year with a bang in South America with the PTV crew.
Leg 3 of the ICHY world tour with @piercetheveil in the books. Such a privilege to get to do the damn thing with such an amazing crew of people that all crush their respective roles. Ready for a lil break before closing out the year in South America.

This sleek little dLive setup was pretty perfect for a run of mostly festivals with the @sukiwaterhouse crew. Especially with @gopacofanpage at the other end of the gigaAce tie lines. Small footprint, and only needing to run 2 cat5 lines to stage for DX boxes made getting on and off so quick and easy. Liking the new Compstortion and MCAs all damn day!

🎧 On the Road with JP Huff, FOH for Pierce The Veil, is live on YouTube.
Before the lights dim and the screams of fans exceed a mind-numbing 114dB, JP gives us an all-access pass to the setup and inner workings of the production team for Pierce The Veil’s sold-out “I Can’t Hear You” tour.

Finally home and leg 1 of the ICHY tour in the books. So proud to be a part of menacingly awesome @piercetheveil crew. The way these people come together to destroy obstacles is inspiring. Thankful for @sleepingwithsirens whipping the crowd into a frenzy for us nightly, and all the puppies I got to play with along the way. Looking forward to leg 2 in September!

We noticed a nice RND rig out with @piercetheveil and reached out for more info…
JP Huff / @jphuffiv (FOH):
“My rig consists of the MBC converting analog to AES on the band master bus. I hardly tickle the limiter most days, maybe 1-2dB max, and Red Silk is fantastic over the band bus. The conversion back to digital also sounds incredible. In the instrument world, a pair of 542’s to soften up the guitars and added some Blue Silk to give them some range and harmonics in the bottom end. The saturation blend gives a lot of depth to my guitar bus.”
“We swapped vocals over to the Shelford Channels last year, and now it’s the first thing the guys ask about in the beginning of the tour. They’re always “we’re still using the Shelfords right?”
“At FOH I’m using it to sculpt a V7 on both singers. Both with Red Silk blended, the compressors sound so smooth when they go from screams to singing.”
“We also have 5045’s which I feel have become an industry standard with vocals. Everyone is using some sort of PSE and I feel the 5045 works best in most situations I find myself in.”
Allan Bates / @batesaudio (MON):
“The 5045 and Shelford Channels are an essential part of my vocal chains. Nothing keeps the nonsense out of the mic like a 5045. The Shelford Channels are my favorite tool for adding heft and control to vocals. The EQs are musical. I love the vocals just tapping gain reduction on singing and hitting hard for screams, and Red Silk all day long for some added flavor without getting bitey. They just make vocals feel done.”
Jaime / @ptvjaime (Bass):
“You guys make some really cool sh*t.”
