#BJS2023 with @afero_official this weekend is gonna lit and make sure you tune in🔥 Afero is an ethno-jazz musician and instrument inventor from West Africa, Ghana. The spirit of music found him at a tender age, and since then he has been researching music. After high school, Afero moved from his village to the city to pursue his musical career. There, he learned proper music theory and practical performance skills. In 2019 and 2020, after completing his learning process, Afero began to have his own performance tours around Asia and Africa. Afero has invented a unique instrument called the Kadanu. It is a talking string instrument that incorporates wisdom and draws from African musical traditions. His mission is to preserve, promote, and innovate more African music and instruments. Afero would be live this Sunday on @batajamsession to perform, share his thoughts on African music and process how the process looks like working on his first debut album. Now he has grown and started making his own music and he planing to make his first debut album. Join us this weekend with Edith Weutonga on #BJS2023❤️ @edithweutonga is a ground breaking, cutting edge bassist, singer and songwriter leading her Utonga band and working around African, Europe and in England🇬🇧Playing an authentically Zimbabwean sound laced with Jiti, Chimurenga and Shona folk. she experiments with some of her favourite World music flavours such as Rhumba, Reggae Calypso and Jazz. She formed Utonga in 2010 and quickly released her debut album in that year – a ten track effort titled UTONGA. This album catapulted her to being one of Zimbabwe’s most recognized musicians to feature at some of the country top live venues. With the same album, Edith performed at all the country’s major Festivals and headlined a few of them. She’d be live this weekend to share her experience, music journey and to share some music. #BJS2023 with @cleriston_riios multi-instrumentalist music producer, percussionist, composer, and musician based in Brazil🇧🇷with 24 years of career in music, would be live on @batajamsession this weekend (Saturday). He started his career at the age of 4, signing up for competitions and festivals, and winning them. At the age of 9, he began his career with professional bands, being invited by great Brazilian artists (@carlinhosbrown @brumfernanda @maramaravilhaoficial @geronimosantanaoficial and @timbaladaoficial ). He lived in Salvador, and made special appearances in recordings at major studios in Brazil (@asadeaguia and @terrasamba10 ) He was invited by Mart'nália to visit Rio de Janeiro, where he was sponsored by the band Barão Vermelho and Orlando (Ruz percussionist for Gilberto Gil and Aetano Veloso).
