What a crazy experience at @danger.zone.fest in Hamburg. We witnessed some of the heaviest indie films and documentaries, while being able to share our own art in such a powerful space with incredible people. Winning “Most Dangerous Movie” made it feel only right to celebrate the award in its natural habitat, where its full symbolic weight really belongs. Overpaint the imperfections of the wall and the space around the windows with a fish, a tree, and a couple of watermelons in shades of blue and green. With those requests, the piece grew organically, each new element added without knowing what would come next or who would slip first. Because here, you can’t erase a moment of distraction, when the very thing you overpaint becomes part of the color itself.

I’m inspired by my favorite german hip-hop group Doppelkopf, who describe full moon moments as tapir-nights, reserved for those cast away by society because of their tapir-like ugliness, not fitting into a world that rewards beauty and wealth. But like the tapir, we are not dangerous, only dangerously curious. We sniff out unseen spaces, hiding when the world tries to get the better of us. @night.raider7 & @_zombiefield_ demonstrate what happens when the time is right, they challenge their fears and become one with the moon and the stars, sometimes for a moment, and sometimes for eternity.
