Fresh in Miliken since August 2025, Basil Pho House offers the best of both Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine! Their newest must-try? A crispy, garlicky Salt & Pepper Soft Shell Crab done in the famous Typhoon Shelter style 🦀 The value here was incredible for the quality and portion sizes 💸 The service was an absolute 10/10. Thomas, the manager, was the best—he was so attentive and patient, taking his time to walk us through all their signature dishes We tried: 👉 House Special Vermicelli: $31.95 👉 Skewers (3) Lamb: $6.99 👉 Well Done Flank Brisket and Beef Ball Pho (Regular): $15.95 👉 Salt & Pepper Soft Shell Crab: $19.99 For just over $30, the House Special Vermicelli was an absolute steal! It was loaded with a pile of perfectly charred, sweet and savory grilled pork, chicken, and beef. Add in bouncy sugarcane shrimp, crisp veggie spring rolls, and a mountain of fresh, crunchy greens 🥬 They even steamed and individually separated the rice paper for effortless wrapping—it was the ultimate DIY feast We couldn't resist trying the lamb skewers, which came with meaty chunks with little fat (A pho shop serving up Chinese lamb skewers is exactly why Toronto's food scene is unmatched) Their pho was a solid, comforting classic with a much better price tag than newer spots 🥢 They're apparently known for having chewier noodles, though they tasted pretty standard to us You rarely see a Cantonese masterpiece like Salt & Pepper Soft Shell Crab at a pho spot, but they absolutely nailed it! 🦀 The dish was coated in a savory, crunchy 'sand' seasoning, while the crabs themselves featured a shatteringly crisp exterior and a beautifully soft, buttery inside 🍊 Just dropped: The Family Reunion Set!
