Love showed up — no matter what tried to stop it. ❄️💍 What was supposed to be a normal wedding weekend turned into a literal movie plot… a 2-ft snow blizzard, a last-minute venue cancellation, a photographer by the name of @alexkaplan who walked out mid-shoot P.S. thank you @pharaohrex for the photos we did get as you see; But through all of that, God covered us — and everything still came together more beautifully than we ever imagined. We danced. We served looks. We laughed. We cried. We came together one last time as two individuals… and left as husband and wife. ❤️ The fact that 175 people still showed up to a 200+ person wedding in the middle of a snowstorm says everything about the love surrounding us. Y’all literally traveled through chaos from Atlanta, North Carolina, Florida, Boston, Connecticut and beyond just to stand with us. That kind of love humbles you. Special thank you to Val, our incredible coordinator, for holding it down when everything felt like it was falling apart — you truly saved the day. Secondly, the beautiful & talented @poetjasminemans for being the absolutely best officiant in the history of all officiants lol; And to @djsirfuture for giving us a soundtrack worthy of the moment… short set, BIG energy. 🔥 To our friends and family: you didn’t just attend — you showed up and showed OUT. You turned obstacles into memories we’ll tell for the rest of our lives. This weekend proved something powerful… When love is real, you don’t just move forward — you move mountains. 🏠 The Family: While we wait for portrait photos this is the MOST important post. Marrying each other didn’t just make us husband and wife — it made us one family. 🤍 We come from different sizes, different dynamics, different rhythms… but somehow it all blended so naturally. What could’ve felt overwhelming instead felt like home even when doing what we did in 24 hours was very stressful. To Dad @trjohn1970 — our real-life “007” — thank you for stepping in the very moment our original venue was cancelled in the middle of rehearsal. No panic. No hesitation. Just action. You covered us and made sure we still had a wedding. You did not stop working for 36 hours straight. You actually have not stopped showing up since you had your first born and we will never forget that kind of love. To Mom @roxanne.francis.516 — thank you for carrying us through eight years of growth, lessons, grace, and patience. Thank you for loving us individually and together. You have shown up in every season from your moment of motherhood and set the standard for what family looks like. To the entire family on every side — thank you for embracing us fully. Not as an addition, not as an adjustment — but as if we’ve always been one. And to the Adeigbolas, Hogans, Whites, Clarks and beyond — small but mighty — thank you for your grace, for your support in making our dreams come true, for traveling far and wide in the storm, for standing tall beside us. To Uncle Kwaku for walking Maz down the aisle with strength and honor. For being thorough, real, and solid in every way. Blizzard or not… love showed up. with the overwhelming amount of content & the fact im still in shock, the best way for me to do this is to spilt it up by theme. family shots, friend shots, experience shots ect. 👰🏽‍♀️ the dress: throughout this journey and my life in general, sometimes things just really work out. to be honest, the wedding itself really didn’t start stressing me out until i checked the weather the week of. this vintage never worn dress was a gift from an angel and @seams_by_jenny altered it beautifully. it was already in Petite too. i got married in the winter so this is the one i landed on. that’s just what this dress was giving. the veil is a 100 inch cathedral veil with blusher and embroidery from a woman owned shop in Ukraine on @etsy . I was only doing this wedding thing once so I wanted to bring a little drama. It was perfect for the day because I was in such bittersweet mood knowing the blizzard was bigger than my program and we were not in the original venue. the jacket was custom made by @seams_by_jenny . it did not come with the dress. the dress is strapless. i wanted a more refined look and you know your girl is tatted down. everything came together beautifully. Jenny also added a corset to the back shoutout to @thejasz and @daniellalexantussmith for snatching me up it got critical for a second 😂 the dress also had a train she added buttons to pin it up and that’s how i wore it due to the weather. the smallest things i really needed that day. reception dress: @fashionnova hair: @___.j.s … my hairstylist since ‘08. my sister my family. makeup: @_ceiline … cei cei!!!!!! girl you ate down!! 💕 no notes.

👯‍♀️ The Girls: i’ve known these women a collective 28 years and God truly covered me through them. @ebfpartyrental from 2011 american apparel days to 2026 moving rentals until 4am during a state of emergency and when staff didn’t show the next day… you still pulled it off. support flawless. florals real. stress minimal. you’ll always be my first call (and my forever business neighbor to @brwnbox ). my bridesmaids carried me. @goldenbran thank you for roatan, for stepping up, for loving me through the hard parts. @thejasz you never left my side tying corsets, texting troy, telling me to stop answering my phone and reminding me “it’s your day.” married women support hits different. @egyptactually 🤣 you already know. to my all bridesmaids including my honorary one @janaspov._ thank you for the quiet check-ins, the laughs, the glam, the prayers, the late-night talks and the way you protected my peace without needing anything in return. every single one of you mattered. you were always at the right place at the right time. to troy’s sister @alecia.maree and my bonus daughter Aliyah — thank you for embracing me, supporting us and standing with love. gaining you both in this union means more than you know. 🤍 @poetjasminemans you didn’t just officiate. you showed up as my friend, my calm, my support staff, my covering. the way you held space for us was sacred. to the @brwnbox girls — thank you for helping me execute the biggest event we’ve ever done… for the one time it was mine. 🤍

the last 30 days forced me to feel my feelings and realize the power in letting go and enjoying the ride. releasing control. taking care of me while i am blessed to have people to do exactly what’s needed. lucky for me i have women in my life that can get together and take an 8 hour trip to an unknown island all coordinated by a woman they barely knew and get this, they all friends now! to @goldenbran thank you for the months of coordination and to my bridesmaids even if you didn’t attend the trip you have all shown up for a collective 28 years. alot of people cant say they have those kinds of people but i am so grateful i do. this trip was peaceful. it was exciting. it was a moment. i really have so many feelings in this moment and you all have made it so much easier. it’s also easier to feel in 75 degree island weather to @novemburrrrrr i hope to always give you a safe place to land. i love you.

My heart is so full I don’t even have the words. Thank you to everyone who showed up, loved on me, and blessed me with the most thoughtful attention and gifts—I truly felt carried by my village. To our incredible mothers, wedding planner, my beautiful bridesmaids, and our families… this day was what it was because of you all.
