Still crazy to see my story featured in Bold Journey Magazine and South Carolina Voyager.
I’m beyond grateful for every person who has supported BAShufflerproductions and believed in the vision from the beginning. From weddings to commercials to short films, this journey has been built on faith, hard work, and an amazing team around me.
I also got the chance to talk about my mentor, Cyril Samonte, my media tech teacher from Hanahan High School. To this day, he still gives me advice, criticism, and pushes me to grow creatively, and I’ll always respect that.
Thank you guys for all the support. This is only the beginning. Check the comments for the links to both articles. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
HALF of ME drops June 5.
A short film written and directed by Bradley Shuffler and produced by BAShufflerproductions. We’ll also be submitting this project to multiple film festivals.
HALF of ME is a story about the heartbreak of losing someone who once felt like family. The film follows two best friends whose bond slowly falls apart, showing the emotional weight that comes with growing apart from someone who once meant everything to you.
Huge thank you to the cast, crew, and everyone supporting BAShufflerproductions. Special shoutout to Larry Dennis II for the amazing BTS photos and official poster shot.
More projects and casting calls coming soon.
Shooting today for @pizzamodomio at Pizza A Modo Mio 🔥
Behind the scenes photos by Cyril from @thebullhawker they came out amazing (pictured in the carousel) 😆
Appreciate the incredible work. More to come 🎬 🍕🇮🇹
🎬 10 Cinematic Reasons I Always Keep a Circular Reflector on Set
1️⃣ Because light tells the truth. And sometimes, I need to guide it where the story needs it most.
2️⃣ It turns sunlight into cinema. I don’t wait for perfect light — I create it.
3️⃣ When clouds steal the day, the reflector gives it back.
4️⃣ Five surfaces, endless moods. Gold warms, silver sharpens, white softens, black deepens, translucent dreams.
5️⃣ Faces glow differently under control. A little bounce — and suddenly the frame breathes.
6️⃣ It’s power in silence. No plug, no setup, just reflection and instinct.
7️⃣ It saves time, budget, and takes. One disc can do the work of a full rig if you know what you’re doing.
8️⃣ It restores balance. When shadows go rogue, it pulls emotion back to center.
9️⃣ It’s the painter’s brush of a cinematographer. Light isn’t just seen — it’s felt.
🔟 Because great filmmakers don’t wait for light — they command it.
✨ “A reflector doesn’t just shape the light… it shapes the story.” @j0hnny_free@bashufflerproductions
👊 Yeah — I’m directing. 1. Because a filmmaker isn’t just behind the camera — they’re behind the vision. 2. My job isn’t to hit record — it’s to make sure every frame says something. 3. I trust my crew. That’s leadership, not laziness. 4. You can’t see the big picture if your eye’s stuck in the viewfinder. 5. Every move on set starts with direction — not reaction. 6. I’m not holding the camera because I’m holding the story together. 7. My hands might be empty, but my mind’s running a hundred miles ahead. 8. A good director makes others look great. 9. You can shoot a scene — I’ll build the world around it. 10. Because filmmaking isn’t about control, it’s about orchestration @bashufflerproductions
🎬 10 Things I Learned Starting a Film Business That a Business Class Never Could 1. Some people will smile, shake your hand… and still never pay you.
Get deposits. Every time. If they don’t respect that, they won’t respect your work. 2. Your contract is your bodyguard.
It’s not about distrust — it’s about peace of mind. 3. Nobody’s coming to save your vision.
You’ve got to build it yourself, one frame at a time. 4. People don’t just buy a service — they buy consistency.
Keep showing up even when you’re running on fumes. 5. Team energy matters more than titles.
I’ve seen talented people ruin sets because their ego showed up before they did. 6. Exposure doesn’t pay rent.
Every “free” job you do teaches you what you’re worth — and what to stop accepting. 7. You’ll lose money before you make money.
But those losses become your tuition — lessons no professor could ever teach. 8. You can’t pour from an empty battery.
Rest, reset, and come back sharper. Burnout doesn’t build empires. 9. Protect your name like your lens.
One bad collaboration can scratch your brand for years. 10. No class can teach heart.
Only experience, pressure, and the quiet nights wondering if you’re built for this.
And when you find out you are — that’s when the real business starts. @bashufflerproductions@grittygalmarketing@smileys_life@theonly_spiderdad
1. Stayed up till 3 AM watching tutorials. 2. Shot with whatever camera I could borrow. 3. Edited on a laptop that overheated every 10 minutes. 4. Took notes from movies instead of classes. 5. Filmed free gigs just to get experience. 6. Failed more times than I can count. 7. Studied lighting from behind-the-scenes clips. 8. Practiced audio until it stopped peaking. 9. Learned how to direct by listening, not talking. 10. Never stopped believing I could build something bigger.

🎬 I like to think of myself as a cinematographer, director, and actor… but truth is, I wear every hat on set.
I’ve got an amazing crew that always shows up and crushes it sometimes we switch it up, and I jump into different roles when the moment calls for it. That’s the beauty of filmmaking: knowing how to move between every piece of the puzzle.
Here’s what that looks like 👇
1️⃣ Cinematographer – Because knowing how to frame emotion turns a scene into a story.
2️⃣ Director – Vision matters. Someone has to see the full picture before it exists.
3️⃣ Actor – Feeling the story helps me direct it authentically.
4️⃣ Editor – The real storytelling begins when the cameras stop rolling.
5️⃣ Producer – Every project needs someone who can make it happen, not just dream it.
6️⃣ Writer – If you can write it, you can build worlds from nothing.
7️⃣ Gaffer – Light changes everything — mood, tone, and life in every frame.
8️⃣ Sound Operator – Audiences forgive bad video, but never bad audio.
9️⃣ Drone Pilot – Perspective is everything; sometimes the best shot is 200 feet up.
🔟 Marketing Mind – Because what’s the point of creating if no one ever sees it?
Knowing every role doesn’t make you a control freak — it makes you a complete creator.
Don’t be a one-trick pony. Be the whole show. 🎥
