Since 2014, Bashaques Alaçatı has been home to my journey of wearable art. It is both my living space and the artistic atelier and store where I share my designs with you, my valued guests.
All the collections you are about to experience are inspired by the unique civilizations of Anatolia, as well as by master weavers from all around the world including Ibiza, Marrakech, India, Vietnam, Bali, Mexico, Peru, and Colombia, and by unforgettable architects and painters from art history, along with leading figures of dance and performance art. These collections are the rebirth of these singular energies, deeply imprinted in my soul, finding new forms of existence through me.
Every journey I experience continues to inspire my collections, each carrying its own distinctive story. I would like to share some of these stories with you.
Inspired by the carpet and kilim centers and tile museums my dear mother, a professional tour guide, took me to during my childhood, and by the day she enrolled me in ballet for the first time, I created the collection “The Ballerina’s Hidden Dream.” This collection emerged from reinterpreting Edgar Degas’ ballerinas through traditional tile art and translating them into garments.
Starting from the question “How would Salvador Dalí have painted miniatures if he had lived on Ottoman lands?”, we blended Dalí’s works with traditional miniature artists and named the collection “Entrada De Gala En el Haren.”
Our collection “The Door,” inspired by the works of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, his system of symmetry, and Anatolian artists producing alternative weaving techniques, remains one of our most preferred patterned collections.
Designed especially for those who love wearing white, the “White Karma” collection is created using natural Ödemiş black-loom weavings, dastar fabrics, vegan lotus silk from Vietnam, hemp, and textiles produced from natural fibers sourced in Anatolia and on the island of Bali.
If you happen to see a piece without the Bashaques label, it belongs to a local artisan from one of the countries I have visited, and there is surely a reason why you encountered it here.
Wishing you a beautiful experience.

Bashaques dünyasına hoşgeldin! Bu dünyada Salvador Dali Osmanlı Sarayı’nı ziyaret eder. Gala, haremi merak eder.

Welcome to Bashaques Alaçatı, which is also my home!
This is a wearable art space established in 2014. It’s open to everyone in the summers and functions as a workshop filled with continuous creativity in the winters…
I both live and create here. I enjoy chatting with anyone interested in these products…
Each item you’ll see hanging has its own source of inspiration, stories about the birth moments and places of fabrics, weavings, and patterns. (Please ask me or my
team for details about any product you’re curious about… I’m usually here in the evenings.)
Every piece created, inspired by weaving artisans from Anatolia and unknown corners of the world, significant figures in art history, painters, dancers, and
performers, belongs to my creative world and the energies that pass through my filter…
You can see products from all collections designed under the Bashaques brand in the store and ask about their stories. Everything you see and touch is designed
with an understanding that believes in the energy of fabrics touching our skin, which is our most important and largest organ.
If you see a product without the Bashaques label, it belongs to a brand or craftsman from a country I visited, which I believe creates harmony with my brand and
has extraordinary features. Every product I curate is something I personally love and our team works hard to have them in the store.
With which regions and countries’ materials did I design my creations?
