Kankerverwekkende stoffen horen niet thuis in cosmetica. Punt.
Bij de stemming over de Chemicals Omnibus bleef dit belangrijke principe overeind ondanks de stevige lobby vanuit de industrie. Maar we zijn er nog niet. De strijd voor een gifvrije leefomgeving gaat door, ook binnen de andere omnibusvoorstellen, waar juist versoepeling van regels op tafel ligt.

Remember when we asked the Commission to stop listening to the big beauty lobby? Well, they heard us loud and clear!
We voted on the Chemicals Omnibus, and despite the lobby’s claims that certain toxins were “fine” if not ingested or inhaled, the ban remains total. No cancer-causing chemicals in our cosmetics.

As fossil fuel giants cash in billions, Europeans are left struggling with rising energy costs. This isn’t our war and we shouldn’t pay for it. The path forward is clear: invest in clean, affordable energy, tax excessive profits, and protect people from price shocks.
