Art therapy sessions are structured around your needs and the way you process best.
A session may include conversation, creative expression, reflection, grounding exercises, or guided prompts. Some people talk while creating. Others use the art process first and reflect afterward.
The focus is not on artistic skills or creating something “good.”
The materials are used as tools to help explore thoughts, emotions, patterns, and experiences in a more accessible way.
This process is collaborative, flexible, and adjusted to your comfort level.

A session doesn’t ask you to perform.
You don’t need to explain everything clearly
or find the “right words.”
We start with what is present.
That might look like talking,
or working with materials first - colour, movement, or form.
From there, we reflect on what comes up
and begin to understand it together.
Nothing is rushed.
Nothing is forced.
You move at a pace that feels manageable.
You don’t need to be fully ready to begin,
just open to starting.

Hi, I’m Madiha - Registered Psychotherapist and Art Therapist.
I created Baseera as a space for those who feel deeply, reflect often, and are ready to understand themselves in a more meaningful way.
My work integrates therapy with creative expression because not everything we carry can be put into words.
You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin healing.
Through art, reflection, and meaningful conversation,
we gently uncover what’s been buried,
honour what’s been carried,
and make space for what’s ready to grow.
If this resonates with you, you’re welcome here.

Baseera (بصيرة) means inner sight - the clarity that emerges when the heart begins to see beyond the surface of life.
While our eyes perceive the external world, baseera refers to the deeper awareness that allows us to recognize meaning, wisdom, and growth within our experiences. It is the quiet understanding that develops when we slow down, reflect, and gently turn inward.
At Baseera, therapy is approached as a journey toward this inner clarity. Through thoughtful conversation, creative expression, and compassionate guidance, individuals are supported in exploring their emotions, patterns, and stories with curiosity rather than judgment.
Art and creativity can open pathways to insight that words sometimes cannot reach. In this space, reflection and creativity work together to help individuals reconnect with their inner voice, their resilience, and their sense of direction.
Baseera is the movement from confusion to clarity - from simply seeing life, to understanding it more deeply.
