Been a little nervous to post this, well actually I lied I’ve been super nervous. Just as I get nervous before sharing my artwork, I guess it’s a creative thing and I know a lot of you can relate. My previous price flyer was for where I felt I was skill-wise during the start of the pandemic and that’s more than two years ago so I’ve outgrown that version of me and accumulated more knowledge along the way. I think my quality of work more than speaks for itself and most times I actually over-deliver, that’s just how passionate I am about photography. I hope everyone that’s been supporting me this far continues doing so as I continue my journey. Also if you’ve made it this far reading and we’ve shot together before, leave me some feedback below. I’m interested to know about your experiences working with me. Flyer by my boy @criiipacognito .

Bringing Vixens Back Magazine - Premiere Issue. Shot, edited & curated by 8Based. Model: @dacodanichole I haven’t posted in months so I hope you guys appreciate my comeback. Not gonna go into detail, but life has been on one fr. This magazine will be just as the name says Bringing Vixens Back. Being a kid/teenager, I witnessed the rise of notable women in said industry from Ki Toy Johnson, Ester Baxter & Summer Walker. A few of my favs to say the least. We will never get the 90’s/2000’s back but I think we can do a way better job keeping it alive, also physical media. I collected magazines and still have a nice little roster. I used to also sneak and read my father’s Playboy Magazines. 😂 The video vixen era largely declined in the early-to-mid 2010s, with 2013 often cited as a turning point due to increased backlash against the objectification of women and the rise of social media, which bypassed the need for traditional music video exposure. The era peaked between the 1990s and late 2000s. Key Factors in the Decline: Rise of Social Media: Instagram allowed models to build their own brands directly, reducing reliance on music videos for fame. Budget Cuts & Changing Trends: Reduced music video budgets and a shift away from high-glamour, narrative-driven videos diminished the need for traditional “Video Girls”. Evolution of Artists: Female artists like Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé helped shift the focus toward female empowerment rather than passive, decorative roles. While the “Video Vixen” as a dominant 2000’s archetype faded, similar roles continued to exist in a less prominent, more modern form often as “Instagram Baddies”. Growing up my favorite photographers and still to this day are David LaChappelle and Johnathon Mannion. Also Hype Williams. I just want to make things fun again in my own way. This magazine is also an ode to a photographer/brother I started out with, Chris Highdime. Rest In Peace my guy. You’d most definitely be on top right now bro. 🕊️

2016? Babyface 8. 😂 A completely different time lol. My second year as a photographer, still wet behind the ears. Hadn’t completely found my style but I for sure had clear visions of it. Talk about growth fr, not just artistically but all around.

Haven’t posted a dump in a while. I’m not gonna call it mysterious or me being elusive, I’ve just been putting in overtime to get my shit back together. Instagram may be all highs but I take pride in remaining my authentic self on and off this app, and actually being transparent with my L’s. Heavy is the head that wears the crown and it’s okay to fall off, just pick yourself back up. I know the universe forever has me and I’m chosen. My biggest lesson this year was money management and helping people that wouldn’t splash me with water if I was on fire. You can call it enabling. Depression hit me quite hard and I didn’t see a way out for a while so I sat in the darkness. I consider how I plan to move forward pure revenge. Watch me go on another crazy run. If you don’t like it, by all means do something about it. ♾️

My 32nd rotation around the sun was nothing short of what I expected. I know this is an odd age number to go all out for but when you’ve been through what I have, celebrating yourself doesn’t have a time limit. I’m just grateful to be alive honestly. I didn’t get pictures with everyone like I planned and I had wayyyyyy too many shots handed my way lmaoooo so the weekend was a blur on and off but I enjoyed myself! Next year I’ll be even more on point. I appreciate everyone that helped even make this birthday a success with planning and I appreciate the people that came even more. I appreciate the gifts and the quality time. Until next Virgo Season. 🥂
