Rooney House
This Victorian terrace, originally built in the mid-1800s, has been thoughtfully opened up with a contemporary addition designed for the way a modern family lives, gathers and grows.
At the centre, a light court pulls sunshine deep into the home. A calm, green pause between old and new that connects every level and changes throughout the day.
Polished concrete floors ground the space, while soft neutral joinery and layered textures keep it feeling inviting.
A home that honours its history, while making space for the next chapter.

The vaulted oak lined ceiling in the main living area draws your eye upward, while the furniture and marble surfaces add warmth to the space, creating a soft and liveable atmosphere.

With limited space, we utilised the full width of the terrace block to create a spacious kitchen and living area. The curved panel at the start of the breakfast bar guides you smoothly past the dining area and through to the end of the home.

Rooney House
A contemporary addition and alterations to a mid 1800’s Victorian terrace that prioritises natural light, and a seamless flow.
The kitchen acts as the home’s anchor, featuring an island wrapped in black timber battens and paired with natural stone, softened with curves.
Beyond the kitchen, the staircase and double height void leads the eye upward, while the landscaped light court draws the outdoors in.
