What an unforgettable evening for our Base Graz team at the Die Steirerin Awards yesterday at the Seifenfabrik. ✨
It was a special event to celebrate women nominated for their work in fields such as health, technology, management, and design. The highlight of the evening for us was proudly supporting Peninah, who was nominated in the Design category. To our absolute delight, she WON! 🏆 Seeing her recognised for her creativity, vision and hard work was such an uplifting moment for us all. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who voted for Peninah — it truely showed the power of community! 🙏💪
We heard many inspiring speeches about women's empowerment, the importance of supporting one another, and ensuring that every woman is seen, heard, and celebrated for her unique talents and contributions.
A big thank you to Industriellenvereinigung for generously offering us a table. Here’s to celebrating women, championing each other, and continuing to shine together 💫. We are SO PROUD of you Peninah💖
🎶A special treat at last month’s board games evening: an a- cappella performance by Des Moll 🎤!
🎲Next board games evening with parkrun Graz - May 29th!

Talent Tuesday is back with another community initiative.
This week, we’re highlighting a powerful new community group led by Rachel Fox and Estelle Coralie.
It is a monthly menopause support discussion in a relaxed, confidential environment where experiences can be shared freely.
From physical changes like hot flashes, joint pain, and skin shifts to the emotional side of the menopause transition, these conversations help make sense of what’s happening in the body and remind participants they’re not alone.
Whether you’re in perimenopause, menopause, or postmenopause, this space offers:openness without judgment, shared knowledge and lived experience and a sense of community and support
Upcoming sessions will also explore topics like HRT and how to advocate for your health with doctors in Graz ,helping women feel more informed and empowered in their care.
Contact Rachel Fox for more information if you would like to participate.

What a beautiful Sunday in the park at Lendwirbel with the Daisies 🌼
Together with Neeraj from the Offline Challenge, they invited visitors to take a break from their screens, slow down, and reconnect—with themselves and with each other. In a world that often feels rushed and disconnected, these simple moments matter more than ever.
Crocheting Daisies might seem like a small act, but it carries a powerful message. Stitch by stitch, conversations begin, strangers become friends, and a shared sense of belonging grows. It’s a gentle yet meaningful way to address the growing challenges of loneliness and social disconnection in our communities.
✨ Want to be part of it?
Join the Daisies every Thursday at the Bohemian Soul Beehive from 11:00–14:00, or come along to one of their special sessions:
• Friday, May 8th | 14:00–17:00 — Leiner
Hause Community Day (Annenstrasse 65)
• May 29th | 14:00–17:00 — Seddwell Center Community Open House
May is not a beginning anymore — it is an unfolding 🌱
What was planted is now asking for space, light, and expression 🌿.
With this expansion can come both vitality and overwhelm. This is where balance matters most.
Take a moment today to notice:
• Where is energy increasing in your life?
• Where do you feel scattered or overstimulated?
• Where do you need grounding so growth can stabilise?
Growth needs grounding. Grounding allows growth.
Mini Practice:
Inhale: feel expansion in your chest | Exhale: feel your body settle into the ground
Repeat a few breaths and ask yourself: What is ready to grow — and what needs more support? #WellbeingSunday #MayEnergy #SpringExpansion #MindfulLiving #GroundingPractice Akasha Wellbeing Program @ak.asha4238
