Our dinos tested out the foam cannon for the Summer Reading Kick-Off Party and they declared it amazing! Come dance in the foam with us on Saturday, June 6th, 12-3PM!
Last week we had an intro to sewing class for kids and it was a great time! We learned how to use sewing machines to make zipper pencil cases, and how to hand sew donuts!
Our summer reading mascots visited again today and got signed up for summer reading! It’s super easy, and everyone is welcome! And don’t forget to join us on June 6 for the kick-off party with a bounce castle, DJ, foam cannon and more!
Get to know some of the Basalt Library staff a little more! Our amazing staff have a wide range of experience, bringing excellent insights to help us be the best library we can!
Yesterday evening we were honored to be joined once again by local author Lynn Aliya, this time for a discussion of her book "Sync: Transform Every Connection Into an Awe-Inspiring Experience". The talk was moderated by Travis, our teen librarian, and techniques offered included engaging your audience by involving them and being authentic. To finish out the workshop, Lynn took questions from the audience, then led us in a few rounds of improv games such as "Yes, And?". Thanks to everyone who joined us!
INTRODUCING TRI-CERA-TALES AND STORYSAURUS-REX!
Our summer reading mascots visited the library this morning to introduce themselves. Keep an eye out for them this summer as we unearth all kinds of stories!
Winter may have decided to finally make an appearance, but here at the library we are ready for spring! The seed library is now open. Stop by to get some seeds to start your garden!
