- postcard to mum-
Hey Mum, sorry, havenāt posted in a while. Life happened. A lot of life happened. But I was sitting on my couch and thought Iād give you an update.
First of all, a lot of cute dogs at work, which are very distracting.
Iāve been wearing those checkered socks you gave me for Christmas. Spike from Notting Hill would call them ākind of spacey.ā But I love them, thanks Mum.
Lifeās been great. Trying to balance the businesses with sports, always a struggle. Walking around like Iām permanently camping. Kickboxing training is going well, enjoy it a lot, get punched a lot. Increasing the running every week since Iām running that ultra marathon in October. I know you think itās a stupid idea, but boys will be boys. Dadās been helping me build the bathroom cabinet, heās the best.
Working a lot. Early mornings training, late nights trying to make it all work. But Iām enjoying the process, I guess thatās whatās important.
I was invited to give a presentation at uni about entrepreneurship with Joris. Telling the kids to get realistic about the relentless grind that comes with running your own business. That all the social media fluff is bullshit. But also the great sense of ownership it gives. The businesses are going well, pushing for new products this summer. Canāt wait for you to try the gummy weāre working on for GONNA.
I also got some new followers, not sure why. Trying to figure it out. Getting a lot of questions about what Iām wearing, so I guess itās my style. Remember you always wanted to go shopping with me when I was young because I had a āfeeling for itā? Iād sit in the female changing rooms for hours giving you advice. Guess thereās more folks out there that appreciate it, which is new for me. Brands are sending me clothes now, which I love, but Iām figuring out what I can do for them in return. Really appreciate it though, itās too kind honestly. Starting to feel like a little influencer. Also questions if Iām gay, guess that comes with it⦠But a lot of really fit gays out there Iāve come to realize. Iām honestly flattered haha.
Oke mum, thats all.
Love,
Bas
Hey Mum, found these old shots from an old ilford hp5 plus roll that I needed to develop. No, thatās not the name of a printer. Itās the name of the film that goes into my camera. I thought they were cute , what do think? Love, Bas
Hey mum, Iām in Gstaad in Switzerland. Itās like a fairy tale village that won the lottery. Gstaad doesnāt shout luxury, it hums it softly like the Rolexes ticking under the cashmere sleeves. As I didnāt want to pay 15 Francs for a coffee, I wandered around with my Fuji Film and took pictures. Hope you like them. Love, Bas
