This collection came from a vision that I had about what it means to experience beauty in a modern age where we crave everything analog.
In a world of AI, we have to come back to our center and think about what it means to feel and create things with our hands. We must reimagine the things that we always loved and bring life to our dreams. Each set comes with an application kit and there are only 15 exclusive sets available!

🐊Lolong✨ did you know that in precolonial times, the crocodile (bukarot or buwaya depending where you’re from) was considered a sacred animal- deified even? Various groups of Mindanao, Visayas & Luzon all considered them to be ancestral spirits (anito; diwata) and believed harming them would bring misfortune and/or natural disasters. It was once common practice to carve crocodile motifs onto coffins or woven into funeral garments to protect the spirit of the deceased. Wearing crocodile teeth (agimat) was also believed to protect the wearer from disease and evil energy. They are, after all, a key component to the balance of native ecosystems throughout the islands. Unfortunately today, the Philippines crocodile is considered critically endangered and even associated with concepts of greed & corruption- a reflection of the fear colonizers faced when witnessing our ancestors’ respect towards our animal relatives✨
This necklace was ✋🏽made with a solid brass casted buwaya🐊 pendant (she’s heavy!) intentionally paired with the cool earth tones of raw tigers eye, wood grain jasper & green moss agate -to balance the warm but intense fire horse energy of red jasper.
Available tomorrow along with other love-made adornments at @baryoent !! Beverly/Union in Historic Filipinotown 90026 3-8pm
See you there?🌺
