Not sure how to sum up one of the most important weekends of my life, but I’ll try to do it in three sentences: Thank you to everyone who came out to see ‘These Are My Friends!’ on Friday night and Sunday morning. Thank you SO MUCH to the Philadelphia Film Society. And long live local independent film!!
If you haven’t heard the news: a film I co-wrote and star in is having its WORLD PREMIERE in Philadelphia this weekend. It’s called “These Are My Friends!” We wrote and filmed the movie in 2022, coming out of the pandemic. It celebrates the concept of hanging out with people.
“A new entry in the one-crazy-night canon, filmmaker Aaron Bartuska and an eclectic cast of twentysomethings weave an irresistibly charming and hilarious tale about love, friendship, loss, and the horrors of modern living all over the course of one fateful house party.”
If you are in the Philadelphia area and want to attend, tickets can be purchased here. It screens both April 17th at 9:00 PM and Sunday, April 19th at 11:15 AM at the Film Society East (125 S. 2nd Street) theater in Old City, Philadelphia.
The lineup of the fest is quite surreal with some filmmakers I’ve looked up to for quite a while. @bejohnce ’s movie “Maddie’s Secret” is playing. @jormataccone of The Lonely Island from SNL has a new movie out playing too! Can’t wait to see these films as well!
I’m extremely proud of all the cast and crew. If you’re in or around #Philadelphia, I hope to see you all there! It’ll be a party!
