Super excited to share that my graduation film 'Droomland’ (Land of Dreams) (produced by @muusley ) will have it's international premiere at the one and only @camerimage.festival ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
The unconventional format of the festival, which awards films according to their visual, aesthetic and technical values, has turned out to be an alternative for traditional film festivals. This project was a true team effort! But a special shout-out to @sternnordsiek , who managed to give the film a very unique look of its own. Stern, with his lighting and camera team, took the film to a level I could only dream of. He portrayed the chilly, unwelcoming Netherlands of the 1940s in a way I have not seen before. I am proud to call him a friend and look forward to working on many more projects with him.
A new film about the moments right before entering into a difficult conversation, when your thoughts are all over the place and everything is still possible. This small little story made with friends was shot in my favorite café in Amsterdam @cafegambrinus on 16mm color @kodak_shootfilm .
