It’s with great honor that I introduce to you the NEW OWNER of @barbellbrigadegym , Bryan Plaza.
Bryan joined @barbellbrigade in 2023 as the Gym Manager and made an immediate impact. The team trusts him, the staff respects him, and the members love him. To be completely honest, he’s a much better manager than I ever was lol. And it’s because of Bryan that I’ve been able to move my family to Vegas stress-free and still watch the gym grow every year.
I moved in 2021 and knew that eventually I would have to sell the gym to focus on my family at home. I could’ve listed it and sold it to a stranger who didn’t know the culture but I was blessed that Bryan wanted to step up and continue the mission: spread the Dominate Humbly culture and keep building LA’s Home for Strength.
When I’m in LA, Barbell Brigade will always be my home. It’ll always be where I train, laugh, and make memories. But starting today, BB has a new boss. A younger, more passionate, and more handsomer boss. Bryan Plaza. Thank you guys for all the love and support you have shown me over the years. Please continue to show him the same.

For all returning students of UC Irvine, turn to the very back of your current semester’s class catalog where the last few pages are wet or stuck together, and you’ll find the serial number for this highly educational course called Asian Phonetic Identification 101, available for absolutely no school credit whatsoever but even the mere action of signing up will still somehow plummet your GPA, while simultaneously disqualifying you from all doctorate programs, raising your ability to discern ching from xiong, and consistently providing outrage to nextshark comment threads. Your instructors thankfully won’t be us, but rather the more capable local Mexicans we’ve already trained in this field, who probably experience a more diverse pool of Asians than your average Valley Boulevardian in the first place. Good food and fun memories from Vegas to St George, Utah.
Here are some of our stops:
Moapa Creation Park.
Nice park with shade to feed the baby and let kids play in the splash pad. The dogs also took a bunch of shits here which is great for the long drive ahead.
Pica Rica Bbq.
Apparently, this is the 7th best bbq in the country. The brisket was soft and tender like my wife 15 years ago.
Auto Camp.
If you always wanted to camp in a airstream, this is a great place by the river. Plus it’s pet friendly. Bring your own blankets just in case you get extra cold at night. I didn’t need it cause I’m a man.
Pioneer Park.
Red rock cliffs and arches. Super fun to climb. The most beautiful place to get sunburn on your neck so wear sun block or a big ass hat.
Bonrue Bakery.
One of the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had. Thick and creamy. Every gay man’s dream, including mine. Fresh lemonade hit the spot too!

We had the king @drewbelcher review a series of instantly-cancellable ice cream flavors for @sorrynotsorrycreamery and as it turns out, a heavy majority of them just don’t have survivability in the world of inoffensive consumerism. Thanks for the submissions, but these were only ever meant to trick Drew into allowing the “peanut butter and jelly sandwich” flavor to make a return after witnessing this nightmare collection of marketing disasters by comparison.
