If we love what we do so much, why aren’t we smiling?
I was apart of a high budget production some time ago where it felt like if you laughed, you’re fired. Then I looked around and noticed tension EVERYWHERE. Weren’t we originally EXCITED to get into the fields we wanted when we were kids?
Somewhere along the line, deadlines replaced imagination, expectations replaced confidence, and results replaced curiosity. It’s become the working standard, and yet, the world still wants something NEW to come from that.
But there is so much to gain by keeping the kid in you alive as we learn how to navigate getting older. #childlikefaith is ESSENTIAL to invention and innovation.
We’re not called ‘Adults’ of God--we’re CHILDREN of God, and I’m fighting to keep the child alive until something breaks.
I honestly can’t articulate the feeling I’ve had behind this topic (I’ve been trying for months to find the right words), but I know what it entails. So if you follow here, I’ll be going more in-depth of what that looks like for us to think differently across these next couple weeks.
Prayers up on bringing our kid back! 🙌🏾

*Equipment below*
Can’t lie, when I’m in a really rough state, I sometimes go back to edits I’ve done like these to remind myself of God’s goodness, His words, and the feelings I get from Him from when I served at each service. These moments are powerful, and reminds me I’m actually so undeserving of Him, and yet He’s still my advocate.
Thank you @joshbayne_ for having me cover College Nights at @athenschurchcollege 2 weeks back — the experience was incredibly refreshing and inspiring to see THIRTY ONE STUDENTS make a life-changing decision. I don’t even know these people and I almost shed a thug tear 😭

“What if we actually just said it out loud?
The small things we notice in people or the compliments we usually keep to ourselves.
It’s crazy how often we see something good in someone and just never say it.
What if that moment is actually where God wants to use you?
That “random” thought to encourage someone might not be random at all.
You never know what it could do - it might shift how they view themselves, bring light into a heavy day, or speak into something they’ve been doubting about themselves for a long time.
God works through people. So be someone He can work through.” - @pejicicmaria of @runwchristchi

It’s a creative’s job to stay inspired and a muscle that constantly needs to be worked in all of us.
Thank you @holyculture , @reachrecords , @meahevans and @aceharrismusic for having me, it was an honor. Full, honest, (and transparent) interview goes live on their YouTube page at 8p! 🎧
(Sounding real chill rn but internally freaking out atm can’t believe this real 🫠)

This was a whilllleeee ago but still incredibly grateful to help cover @altaraestheticsco x @jackiehillperry ‘s collaboration at her Blameless concert!
This project was pretty interesting and eye opening to film and edit because you’re having to connect someone’s “Character” to “Tactile Clothing” in a sophisticated way, while embroidering faith alongside it.
The concert itself tho was incredible and impactful. It’s very rare to find a large group of people in one setting sound like Heaven outside of church. The way the audience of an artist conducts themselves is always telling of the God they serve.
Plus, TRILITH LIVE IS HUGE AND FUTURISTIC FOR NO REASON.
Thanks @sethstephendp , @aceharrismusic , and @allofshope for allowing / entrusting me to encapsulate your story and your hearts on this. Super grateful!
Equipment:
- Sony ZV-E1

Getting to Direct and Edit this Album Trailer for @indiextribe was one of the greatest honors I’ve gotten in my life.
STRATEGICALLY speaking, I believe what enabled this video to go a bit more viral for them (and for @1kphew ‘s Viral WU3 Trailer) was identifying a general consensus before identifying an entity.
EX: “who am I to you?” Is a question everyone can ask with or without prior knowledge of Indie Tribe (Entity).
“Heaven ain’t one color” is a consensus everyone can agree on without prior knowledge of 1K Phew (Entity).
Other than that, researching the IMAGO DEI before even filming everything really helped vein everything to light. And compiling every idea, aspect, and perspective of their album into a 1:20 minute trailer was incredibly challenging and simultaneously rewarding.
Even the careful selection of the Narrator (an A.i. voice I used to cover my own) was crucial because of a study I found on how people retain certain monologues more when spoken at a particular frequency and pitch.
All of this because intentionality.
The message of how Jesus sees every one of us is SO incredibly important especially when we constantly think of ourselves and others in the complete opposite manner. There’s a freedom in knowing who you’re wired to that some of us can only know when we’re spoken to differently, not corporately.
This has been the longest project I’ve had the honor of working on along with each of their in-depth Member Intros. And despite plenty setbacks, I’m incredibly grateful for @onlyfuturistic , @nobigdyl , @moglitheiceburg , @jonkeith , @djmykaelv , and @toreydshaun for being incredibly patient with me, welcoming me, and allowing me to tell their individual stories in a different way. They’re also incredibly great and insightful conversationalists and theologians. Thank you for another learning experience!
And thanks @stphnruiz for your help on filming this as well—the ways you added in a brought different shot ideas were incredibly encouraging and game changing!
Anyways, this album’s bonkers when you finally get to hear it. Favorite Tracks: - NO QUESTION, HOW MANY, and R U STUPID?

I heard kids confessing to suicidal thoughts to everyone at camp including their peers, and it brought me to tears.
Everything I’ve shot and edited here initially looks hype and insane and buckwild, but it was only possible AFTER they confessed and surrendered EVERYTHING at the altar (which is at the end if you hopefully stay to watch till then). That’s when they truly became free.
Why are students hit with depression, anxiety, discouragement, abuse, suicide, and sin at such an insanely young age?? What are they being taught and how are they being poured into?
Child intentionality is biblical and necessary:
“Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” - Ephesians 6:4
Getting to join @encounteryth.mc / @encounteryth.oc at their weekend youth camp was incredibly eye opening as an adult to see where joy-robbing begins. To start so young can create destruction for a life-time. It felt familiar to when I was once a middle schooler and feeling the exact same things, but would’ve felt more free if I knew we were all going through it together.
Incredibly inspired by these students, and incredibly proud of @samueldeliard for saying yes as a worship leader to aid in shaping their future in Christ.
It’s moments like these I’m both terrified and excited to be a Husband and Father.

It’s been a week since @npinsideout threw this up on socials but this was made in less than a DAY.
It’s instantly become one of most favorite recaps I’ve ever had the pleasure creating 🥲.
Not sure if you could tell here, but this is usually the product of what Working like a Kid looks like for me. I’ve enjoyed making recap like these, because I also turn into the one dancing, worshipping, acting crazy, and ingesting the message.
One of my goals (and should be all of our goals as creators) is to reflect what I’ve felt and embody the event’s goal as accurately as possible on screen—I can’t truly describe the feeling, but something that supernatural just feels like proof that God is apart it.
Or maybe I just love to yap fr
Thanks again to @kohlkenerly and @zach.tinner for the allowing me to be apart in someway! (If there’s any footage of me crying in awe in the back of the room it’s not meeeeeee)

In my experience, people are usually down to hang out if we make it easier for them (pay for food, provide transport, open schedule). Same applies to content!
Hope this helps somehow 🙌🏾 (aside from the blue Tesla color effect I just failed at 🙃)
