Reaching out to members of the community is imperative for domestic abuse work.
Our CIFA programme, a 13 borough, culturally informed domestic abuse course, does just that. Watch this video to learn more about our Community Outreach Officer.
Why is it important?
Many individuals we work with have barriers to accessing support, so by reaching out to underrepresented members of community, we increase the scope of our work and improve the quality of the service.

“Please help Barnet to do our bit and use your food recycling bin!” says Cllr Alan Schneiderman, Cabinet Member for Environment & Climate Change. 🥕🥦🍅🧀🍏🍗
We’ll be back collecting your food waste in our new bin lorries, including Barnette the Bincredible, from Monday onwards. Here’s what we need you to do:
✔ Put leftovers, peelings, meat, bones and dairy in your kitchen caddy
✔ Empty it into your outdoor brown bin
✔ Put it out on your normal collection day
Even out-of-date or mouldy food can go in.
❌ Don’t include packaging, liquids or garden waste
Your food waste will be collected weekly and turned into clean energy and fertiliser.
