I could not be more thrilled and proud of @garethdonkin for hitting it out of the park with his sophomore album “Extraordinary”. This expansive piece of work is a huge step forward for him in every way—from the production to the incredible songwriting and vocals. No skips on this album!!
It was a thrill for me to facilitate involving my great friend of more than 30 years, and one of my favorite bassists on the planet, @jonathanmaronmusic on “Out Here”, as well one of my favorite up and coming vocalists, @esmeaster , who absolutely slays her feature vocal on ”I Need You”.
Finally, sending my deepest gratitude to my dear friend @nigilmack for believing in Gareth’s artistry and being such an ardent supporter, not to mention the whole @drinksumwtr / @secretlydistribution / @ghostly teams for all your hard work, enthusiasm and support.

Another essential slice spot recently opened on the border of Tribeca and the FiDi, @jayspizzanyc . I’ve been a few times now, and it’s what a slice should be. Each time has been better than the last, and it’s clear they’re doing the work to make it great. Last night, I finally got to check out @jaxpizzajoint in LIC. Brought to you by the @utopiabagels team, this place is TOP NOTCH, easily in my essential slices category. The slices are shockingly thin, but still no flop and they don’t crack when folded. Truly exceptional, and as of now, no wait. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I’m late to the party with this one—I finally made it to @chrissys.pizza in Greenpoint earlier this week, and wow. It is classic NYC pizza in all the best ways, no frills and no cut corners. Stellar pizza, definitely on my essential list now. The balance between the crust, sauce and cheese was perfect and it conjured up how much I loved pizza when I was growing up. It’s quintessential.
No slices, so come with an appetite!

I’ve been meaning to post about @lucia.newyork for a while now. Their slices are consistently excellent, and what makes them even more appealing is that they have 3 locations scattered throughout Manhattan (Soho, UES and Gramercy) and one deep in Brooklyn. The fact that you rarely have to wait makes it an even more appealing choice if you want a great slice!

Finally got to check out @slicehauspizzeria and it is top notch! I have said this again and again—NYC is in a pizza renaissance, and we all get to benefit from it. This place has not caught on yet, and you can simply walk in for some top rate pizza. It definitely goes into my top 10 slice joints you need to try. #nycpizza #slicemob
