Fingal, in all its glory, basking in the sunshine, showcasing the ultimate creativity of this stunning project. Bare Build’s first task at this incredible property was transforming the shed space, introducing floating decks, polycarbonate walls and large sliding doors that seamlessly blend with the surrounding bushland landscape. The home itself was thoughtfully designed with flood protection in mind, featuring Japanese tiles throughout and custom marine plywood kitchens and cabinetry, which have become standout features. This property exemplifies minimalist design and beauty, set in one of the coast’s most breathtaking locations.
Ewingsdale – Bare Build had the pleasure of transforming this Queenslander with a stunning renovation that included the “staircase to heaven” and the addition of a luxury pool house. This project was one close to our hearts, it was a privilege to be part of enhancing the timeless charm of this house while elevating it with modern elegance and craftsmanship.
Water testing the two upstairs wet areas on one of our Fingal Head projects.
The first stage of waterproofing is now complete, consisting of three coats of waterproof membrane applied throughout the wet areas. Before progressing, we complete a 24-hour water test by filling the rooms with water to a marked level on the wall to ensure the system is completely watertight.
With the testing now complete and no leaks detected, the tiler can continue with the tile bed installation, followed by a further two coats of waterproofing over the top.
Attention to detail at every stage is what ensures a high quality homes that are built to be lived in forever.

Sometimes there is that project that just makes sense - one that connects with who you are and resonates through your life in so many ways.
Recently Bare Build completed this incredible studio for some close friends, and the journey to completion was one of the most enjoyable processes of my career. The result is a space that is a true reflection of who they are.
Not a single brick was left untouched. Troy’s craft shone through with every wall he completed - from curved fences and round window surrounds to beautiful brick corbel feature walls. Layered alongside the creative genius of his wife Sydney, who channelled her life experiences into so many elements including the eclectic bathroom, rounded cabinetry, and every detail throughout the project.
I spent days handmaking lights and bench tops - every moment better than the last.
We are so grateful to have been trusted with this beautiful project, and we cannot wait to enjoy many pizzas here for years to come. More pictures to come …

A bathroom designed to feel tranquil, grounded and tactile.
With an emphasis on natural materials, the space is layered in texture and tone. Handcrafted zellige tiles catch and reflect the light throughout the day, paired with tumbled brass tapware that brings a soft, lived-in warmth. A generous window draws the outdoors in, filling the room with shifting natural light and a sense of openness.

The Pavilion in all its glory. Capturing the best of the Fingal Head lifestyle, this modern outdoor retreat has been thoughtfully designed for relaxation and connection. A carefully integrated rain garden and dedicated yoga space sit effortlessly within the landscape, complemented by a nearby sauna and just minutes from the beach.
Constructed with a strong focus on healthy, high-performance building, the pavilion is wrapped in Pro Clima to create a vapour permeable, durable envelope. Natural timbers line the interior, bringing warmth and texture, while cork flooring underfoot adds a soft, tactile finish. A calm, intentional space designed to be lived in.

This stunning pavilion Bare Build has recently completed at Fingal Head draws on subtle Japanese influences, designed to feel calm, intentional and deeply connected to its surroundings. A carefully considered rain garden, paired with refined external detailing across the roof and walls, softens the transition between inside and out, enhancing the experience within the space.
Wrapped in Pro Clima for a high-performance, vapour permeable envelope, the build embraces natural materials at every opportunity - from warm plywood internal linings finished with natural oils, to soft, tactile cork flooring underfoot.
