2025 recap. One word, gratitude. Thank you to our amazing guests over 2025 that have shown so much support for @frankiesolarikholdings . Too many people to mention here that contribute to what makes each of our concepts so special, first and foremost the passion to create memorable and positive guest experiences is our main goal and executed with intent. Over the years my role has shifted from being online or behind the bar to providing the platform for our team to shine and showcase the amazing talent we have that creates so many positive experiences. It’s a proud moment to see all of them succeed from their hard work and enjoy the fruits of their labour. We hustle hard and always will, opening a bar a year isn’t easy and we’ve all learned a lot. First and foremost intent and acknowledging why we do what we do, our amazing guests. We wouldn’t be here without the support of all the amazing guests that fill our venues each night so to close with two words… Thank you. ā¤ļø Here’s to 2026 and the amazing opportunities that lie ahead.

Toronto, but make it old London after darkšŸ•Æļø Compton Ave genuinely surprised me, not just for the atmosphere, but for how considered the food and drinks were. For the price, the quality you get here makes it absolutely worth a visit, and this easily ranks as one of my top bar experiences in Toronto. Mocktails:Ā  Jasmine Spritz: floral, crisp, and clean, with jasmine, fennel, seedlip grove, and soda giving it that refreshing highball feel without alcohol. 🌸 Old Obsession: spirit-free but still layered, with amaretto-style warmth, pandan, and white flower bitters giving it a soft, elegant finish. šŸƒ Cocktails: Umami Old Fashion: one of the most creative cocktails I’ve tried recently. Toki whisky, reduced soy, maple, pandan, and lapsang make it savoury, smoky, lightly sweet, and extremely balanced. 🄃 Strawberry Cheesecake: playful but not gimmicky, with sherry, strawberry, vanilla, condensed milk, cream cheese, lemon, lime, and whey creating a creamy dessert-style cocktail with real structure. šŸ“ Dishes: Scotch Egg: rich pork, jammy egg, black garlic aioli, and smoked hay all working together for a deep, savoury bite with a proper crispy edge. 🄚 Grilled Steak Diane: tender picanha with mushrooms, Worcestershire, brandy cream, and apricot. Saucy, rich, and very satisfying without feeling heavy. 🄩 Sticky Toffee Pudding: warm, sticky, caramel-heavy, and finished with caraway ice cream, which cuts through the sweetness better than a basic vanilla pairing. šŸ® What stood out most is that Compton Ave understands both sides of the drink menu. Their cocktails are genuinely creative and well-built, while their mocktails feel just as intentional, which matters when more people are choosing to drink less but still want a proper bar experience. London-inspired, candlelit, dramatic, and actually worth the bill. ✨ [invited] #torontobars #torontofood #torontoblogger #torontoeats #bars [ toronto food, toronto eats, hidden gem, toronto bars, aesthetic bars, cocktails, mixology, mocktails, toronto, toronto late night activities, things to do toronto, bar compton ave, bar chef, hidden bars, steak, scotch egg, fyp]

Follow @mochi.trt6 for more hidden gems! stepped into Compton Ave a little early thinking I’d just grab a quick bite… ended up staying way longer than planned. it honestly feels like you’ve been transported back to 1980s England — dim lighting, moody, super immersive. the kind of place where time just slows down a bit. warm, classic, no fuss. the kind of place you keep going back to. what we ordered: white lotus strawberry cheesecake (must!) steak diane scotch egg (smoky & tasty) london fog šŸ“Compton Ave|1282 Dundas St W, Toronto . . . #torontofood #torontoeats #torontofoodie #yyzeats #torontofoodies toronto life, toronto things to do, toronto weekend, toronto date ideas, toronto cafe, toronto restaurant, toronto restaurants, foodies, toronto bars
