Something special is happening between my equipment, body, mind and my heart. I’m not sure I’ve ever felt this free on a surfboard.
I’ve been surfing as much as my teen years. Waking up early to a good morning stretch/ core activation routine has helped hugely! I’m feeling fast, strong, flexible and frisky.
The amazing thing is that my @biltsurf boards are feeling even sharper than I am and riding them keeps this adhd brain inspired, entertained and intrigued daily! I’m having a lot of fun.
I feel a massive part of these boards going the way they are is because of the blanks we are using.
I have absolutely no doubt that @surfblanks_sa are some of the best in the world and highly suggest asking your shaper to start using them. (If they aren’t already doing so).

It’s been a journey trying to overcome the thought of doing frontside airs. All my weight landing on my front leg was a mental block I’ve had to overcome.
Today I got to park at my best friends @devlane5 and @im_styling incredible new house in Umdloti and run out front for this surf. It felt like the beginning of a new chapter in our lives, God-willing.

Day 1 of the Summer Camp 🇿🇦
@surf.stef@ollie_heintz and @tijmen.koning were stoked to arrive in South Africa and wash off the travel in 25.6 degree water — the best way to kick things off.
“It’s always nice getting off the plane and feeling the change in the weather. You know you’re far away from home and the trip is really beginning. I love surfing in boardshorts, and having empty line-ups to train and surf is amazing,” said @surf.stef on arriving in SA.
We’re excited to see what the next 6 weeks of this trip will bring.
