A native of Cartagena 🇨🇴, born a few footsteps from the sun and near the walls of the city’s historic center, he is a devotee of Afro-Latin music and a fervent admirer of Caribbean rhythms, with a musical collection that ranges from the most orthodox Son Montuno to the most libertarian Beguine.

@baqenvinilo and co-creator of DJ collective and traditional party during the city’s carnaval called
@laverbenadigital . He’s also a resident with two monthly offerings at
@epocasoundbar , Barranquilla’s first ever sound bar.
His DJ sets have no passport; you can listen without prejudice to the variety of musical rhythms he presents you with, so expect a night of guajiras, guagancó, boogaloo, champeta, charangas, highlife, soukous and cumbia.
Bantous’ world of sound is a place where freedom is non-negotiable. Therefore, for him, the sacred act of playing records has only one purpose: JOY.
