Yesterday I took part at an analogue photography festival in Berlin, which was a lot of fun and also very interesting, lovely and cute 🖤
Still, this whole photography/art scene feels still pretty new to me. I’ve never been to a photography festival or anything similar before and I’ve only rarely visited gallery exhibitions and so on. Even with cyanotype I sometimes feel like I just started although I know a lot about it and have tried out a lot, but (happily) there’s always more to learn. Eventough I know that, I sometimes feel like I need to know more or be more experienced since there are already so many people following me here and might expect something (?).
It’s a thought I know from many situations in my life and I know it’s „silly“ or let’s say not necessary to think like that — but if I’m being honest, this thought is there. I never said I’m an expert in anything to you guys here. But in a way, I maybe can start to think like I am. I´m an expert in how I do things, and in what I’ve tried and experienced so far. So I try to keep that in mind 🫂
I could share so many more thoughts about this, but that would go beyond the scope here haha. I really enjoy sharing my work and my thoughts on Instagram, and I put a lot of time and energy into it. So it feels fair and I’m really happy that some of you are interested in it. To me, this is a nice place — but at the same time, it can also feel overwhelming and confusing.

Printing glass with cyanotype 🍸
I wanted to throw away this little glass, but then thought it could be useful for some more cyanotype art. So I enjoyed the privilege of being a grown-up and just destroyed it to create nice effects. It was a lot of fun — AND I even got help from a little pigeon who decided to stop the exposure on my balcony by just sitting down on my print.
