Only Femi Kuti , Seun and Imade are major on that lane and many more . The present Naija sound is not in that box either 🤷🏿♂️
NB - Fela’s first hit song in Nigeria was JEUN KO KU ( highlife song ) released in 1971 under EMI .
AFROBEATS GENRE - Lean more towards Fuji music , Highlife Music , influences from Hiphop , influences from Afrobeat with local language ( pidgin English/ English) . This version is the closest to what we have now trending all over the world 🌎.
NOTE : R&B , soul , jazz emanates from Africa
The problem is when an artiste do not have in-depth knowledge about the genre that put them out there to the world they become confused at some point to the level we see them been displayed to the rest of the world.. all because of lack of education . My advice Go study your craft is not only about learning how to sing ,rap , write and produce but equip yourself with the knowledge of music Science so you don’t embarrass yourselves and the originating source of AFROBEATS ….
