If our first deep dive into the Russian manicure left you intrigued but slightly skeptical, you’re not alone. TikTok did what TikTok does best and turned a niche salon technique into a polarizing beauty debate. Drill bits. Scissors. Two hour appointments. A manicure that promises a month of wear. And yet, the Russian manicure has not faded. It has evolved. What began as a controversial import is now firmly planted on premium salon menus across major cities, rebranded not as extreme but as elite. So why is this precise technique not just surviving but thriving? Click the 🔗 in bio for the Full Story on #bangstyle!

In case you missed it, there’s a new haircut trend that has been making waves around the world and one we're sure will only continue. Get ahead of this style by asking your stylist for a bixie. A fun twist on the classic bob and an update to the traditional pixie, the bixie was a cut and term created by Wella Ambassador Briana Cisneros. Gaining popularity and becoming one of the top haircut trends of 2026, you’re about to see this hybrid haircut everywhere. Click the 🔗 in bio for the Full Story on #bangstyle!

Across beauty, the shift is clear: lower maintenance, higher impact. Hair is softer, makeup is sheerer, and nails are following suit. Micro-French nails tap into that same mindset—proof that simplicity doesn’t mean boring. Short lengths feel practical again, but the micro-tip adds just enough design to keep things interesting. It’s the manicure equivalent of a perfect white tee or tailored trousers: unfussy, versatile, and endlessly chic. Search-wise, this trend sits at the intersection of minimal nails, short nail trends, French manicure updates, and clean beauty aesthetics—making it one of Spring 2026’s most wearable (and searchable) looks. Spring 2026 belongs to the micro-French manicure: short, refined, and effortlessly polished. This isn’t the chunky French tip revival of the early 2000s. Micro-French nails are restrained, intentional, and modern—defined by a barely-there line that enhances the nail rather than overpowering it. The effect is subtle, elevated, and quietly expensive. There is a certain kind of pop star beauty that does not ask for permission. It arrives fully formed, high-impact, and impossible to ignore. Zara Larsson has made that energy her signature, especially on stage, where makeup becomes less about enhancement and more about expression. Think crystalline skin under lights, flashes of electric color across the eyes, lips that oscillate between glossed restraint and unapologetic statement. What makes her approach feel so current is not just the boldness, but the playfulness behind it. It nods to early 2000s excess, but with a modern clarity. Nothing feels heavy. Nothing feels dated. It is Y2K reimagined through a lens of confidence and precision. The beauty of it is that you do not have to be under stage lights to make it work. Whether you scale it down for day or lean all the way in for night, the essence remains the same. It is about choosing one element to amplify, then letting the rest follow with intention. There is a quiet shift happening in hair color, one that feels less like a trend cycle and more like a return to instinct. After years of icy blondes, high-contrast money pieces, and shades engineered for the algorithm, a softer approach is taking hold. It is less about transformation and more about alignment. Enter skin-tone hair, the most wearable color trend of the year, and arguably the most intuitive. At its core, the concept is deceptively simple. Instead of choosing a shade based on trend forecasts or celebrity references, the color is tailored to your complexion. Not just light or dark, but the undertones that sit beneath the surface. The result is hair that does not compete with your features but elevates them, creating a kind of harmony that reads expensive without trying too hard. 2026 has already brought on an abundance of new trends — from Copper Hair Color to Wispy Bangs and a return to Jelly Donut Nails, Fluffy Texture, and 00s (aka the noughties) hair and makeup trends — but have you tried the Bixie? A term coined by Wella Ambassador Briana Cisneros is taking the cake as one of the top haircut trends yet again in 2026, you’re about to see this bob-pixie hybrid haircut everywhere you look. The original take on the Bixie was made popular with starlets in the 90s with everyone from Gwyneth Paltrow to Meg Ryan and Halle Berry. Originally soft in shape, it began to take on more texture and angles to become a hit for rockstars like Victoria Beckham and eventually transitioned into a sharp A-line. Recently, English actress Florence Pugh famously showed off this style and a quick transformation from brunette to blonde that shows the style off in all its glory. Gem nails are not subtle. They catch light mid-gesture, refract it, hold it for a second longer than expected. This summer, they feel less like maximalist nail art and more like something curated. A single crystal at the cuticle. A scattering that looks almost incidental. The effect is polished, not precious. Think of it as jewelry, scaled down and set into gloss. The 2026 Met Gala / @metgalaofficial_ has always been fashion’s most theatrical night, but this year, the beauty deserved its own close-up. With the theme Costume Art and the dress code “Fashion Is Art,” the red carpet became about bringing art to life through clothes and a big part of that was making hair and makeup part of the full composition. This year’s Costume Institute exhibition explored the relationship between clothing, art and the dressed body, placing garments alongside works from the Met’s collection to highlight the connection between fashion and the human form. The gala was co-chaired by Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams and Anna Wintour, with Zoë Kravitz and Anthony Vaccarello co-chairing the host committee. Naturally, the fashion went big. There were corsets, naked dresses, sculptural silhouettes, high-concept costumes and a few delightfully unserious moments, from Heidi Klum’s statue-like look to Bad Bunny’s dapper old-man transformation. But because the clothes were doing so much, the strongest beauty moments often worked with a little more restraint. Across the carpet, the best looks had balance. When hair was soft and wispy, makeup was romantic to match. When hair was sleek and minimal, there was often a smoky eye, a bold lip or an editorial brow to give the look its edge. And because so many of the outfits were intentionally over the top, beauty often came back to the best version of the person wearing it. Click the 🔗 in bio for the Full Story on #bangstyle!
