DJ Seoul kicks off his new residency at TV Lounge on Thursday the 15th, and CNTRL is coming in hot as the second fully curated party in the iconic TV Lounge Community series. You asked for MORE TECHNO, and TV Lounge heard you loud and clear—so they’ve decided to give it their full, undivided attention.
To launch CNTRL the right way, DJ Seoul is bringing in two out-of-town headliners, and not just any guests—both performing LIVE hardware sets. This is intentional, hands-on, no-safety-net techno.
Leading the charge is FBK (Columbus, Ohio)—your favorite DJ’s favorite producer. A true underground legend whose fingerprints are all over modern techno, FBK has been shaping dance floors since the early ’90s. From his classic Knobs and Switches EP to his recent heat on Bang Tech 12, his sound is hard, hypnotic, minimal, and relentlessly groovy. Performing live since 1994, FBK’s hardware sets are powerful, focused, and packed with unreleased material—the kind of set that quietly takes control of the room and never lets go.
Setting the tone early is SONIKSSP (Lexington, Kentucky), a major force with 30 years deep in electronic music. Known for deep, funky basslines with a psychedelic edge, SONIK has been instrumental behind the scenes at Bang Tech, helping shape the exact techno sound CNTRL is built on. This is experience, taste, and pressure-tested dance floor knowledge coming together.
And holding it all together is DJ Seoul, resident and curator. A trusted selector with deep roots and a clear vision, Seoul has spent years building dance floors the right way—patient, intentional, and community-driven. CNTRL is his statement: forward-moving techno, proper sound, and respect for the room.

DJ Seoul (Bill Stacy) is a cornerstone of Detroit Techno—an artist, organizer, and educator who has spent decades protecting and pushing the soul of the music forward. Raised on Detroit’s East Side, his sound was forged early by The Wizard’s relentless precision on WJLB, the Electrifying Mojo’s boundless musical vision on WGPR, and the raw urgency of punk rock. That mix of discipline, rebellion, and risk-taking still defines him today.
A co-founder of Bang Tech 12 and a frontline soldier of the Detroit Techno Militia, DJ Seoul has represented Detroit worldwide for over a decade, delivering high-impact, vinyl-driven sets that blend Techno, electro, acid, hip-hop, soul, and rare groove with a turntablist’s aggression and control. Bang Tech 12 grew from a 1990s underground force into a national symbol of quality, helping launch and support artists who shaped global electronic music culture.
As a producer, Seoul’s work—crafted with vintage synths and drum machines—appears on Bang Tech 12, Detroit Techno Militia, and respected international labels. Above all, he is a community leader, committed to education, history, and holding the line for authentic Detroit Techno.
