Since leaving my 9-5 in the fall, it’s been like Eat Pray Love but with a lot less prayer and way more building a website.

The truth is, there’s nothing I love more than working with bands! I have a morbid fascination with grief
I want to keep my mother alive by imagining a timeline with her in it
the grief of lost time
desperately reaching through the veil
towards the life you expected
and lost
Running from grief into
numbing action into
sharp remorse
the recognition of what makes life worth living.
The love, the beauty, the commitment to seeing it through to whatever end is waiting for us.
I wanted the guitar and voice to walk together through this song, the way we feel less alone in our grief when in the company of someone who understands.

Talking about the grief of lost time feels like the right moment to recognize the most vulnerable members of our communities who are incarcerated and without bail funds. Who haven’t been convicted of a crime. Who are suffering under a system that targets black and brown people and those experiencing poverty. Bail is ransom.
I’m taking part in @bandsdobk ‘s Songs to Free Them All with @slightofband + @fully_furnished_band this Friday 4/24 to raise money for bail funds.
