May 1st at Bamnat 🌞🎶 What a day. Can’t believe it’s already been two weeks. You needed one reason to go to Kreuzberg — now you have a whole evening plan. 👀 Tucked along the canal, Bamnat is one of those places that quietly turns into exactly the kind of spot you end up recommending to everyone afterwards. Korean comfort food, a relaxed Biergarten setting, and that unmistakable Paul-Lincke-Ufer atmosphere where the city seems to slow down just enough. The menu leans into dishes that feel both generous and unfussy. Think crispy fried chicken, braised tofu, and fried cauliflower that’s easily worth coming back for. Add a dessert at the end (you’ll be glad you did), and you have a meal that works just as well for a casual lunch as it does for a long, slow dinner. What makes it special, though, is the setting. Sitting outside, right by the water, you’re right in the middle of Kreuzberg life — people passing by, music in the background, that soft transition from day into evening. It’s the kind of place where you don’t feel rushed to leave. If you’re planning it right, come early evening, stay a little longer than intended, and then take a walk along the Paul-Lincke-Ufer. Together with @orsodelamer we hosted our fourth Insider’s Dinner Club last weekend. This time, we travelled all the way to Korea — to Chuncheon, to be exact. We took over BAMNAT (@bamnat030 ) for an evening dedicated to Chuncheon-Dakgalbi, the chicken dish Häran (@haeran_ber ) grew up with. Hearing her tell the story of her hometown while we shared the pan was something special. Hosted by the wonderful Häran Kim herself. The list for IDC is currently closed.
