Silly Filly postcards, which double as certificates of authenticity and go out with every Original order 🐴 The emblem for the SF logo is a somewhat abstract, freehand pony, encapsulating the dreamy and playful nature of SF’s art. 📸 PONIES OF PERU 🐴 ⁠ ⁠ I’ve finally taken the time to edit my film from our Peru trip last October and an overwhelming majority of the three rolls I took are of horses and mules in the mountains on our five-day trek. Some merrily grazing in the Amazonian hills overlooking Machu Picchu, some being prepped to climb the laborious trails into the clouds, carrying hikers’ essentials (and, sometimes, hikers*). The Salcantay (coming from the Quechua word sallqa and roughly translating as as ‘Savage Mountain’) is the highest mountain in the Vilcabamba range in the Andes, and revered as a deity controlling the weather and agriculture in the Cusco region. We hiked the Salcantay Pass over five days and it was insanely bloody hard (I was much happier descending into the Amazon from Day 3 onwards than ascending in the rain, I don’t mind saying.) ⁠ ⁠ *There are various tour companies that adhere to strict animal welfare standards including regular vet checks and weight limitations, so if you’re thinking of trekking in Peru, check them out. ⁠ ⁠ I have SO MANY more photos from the trip which I’ll dripfeed over the next while. RECENT WORK | Brand identity and website design for @studiobraw.ldn (formerly Pineapple Interiors). ⁠ ⁠ Founded in 2015 by husband-wife duo Matt and Louise, Studio Braw ('braw' being an old Scottish word which in modern slang means impressive, bold, sexy or cool) creates spaces which intertwine sophistication and edge, luxury and groundedness, and wholly encapsulate the unique personality of their inhabitants, whether a Camberwell penthouse or a townhouse in the heart of Chelsea. ⁠ ⁠ We were approached to create an identity to reflect the approach to their design work. We leaned into contrast using rich, heritage tones punctuated with punchy neons, and opted for a typographical suite which echoed old luxury paired with casual coolness.
