Negro. Negro. Negro. Aunque ahora parezca ya un tiempo lejano, hubo un momento hace no tantos años en los que el techno parecía solo tener un color, una estética, un mensaje: contundencia, agresividad, testosterona. Intentar ir a la caza de mayores bpm implicaba tener que adentrarse en otros pantanosos terrenos y estilos, que ahondaban todavía más en el exceso de estímulo y en la arrolladora impresión de que no había salida y que, al final del túnel, no había luz, sino más oscuridad. Por aquellos años, también, nombres como Rene Wise, MARRØN o Amoral comenzaron a despuntar como alternativas solventes a esa “dark obsession”, que si de por sí no tenía nada malo, cuando era prácticamente hegemónica saturaba, quizás, la vitalidad de la escena. Llegaban, inesperadamente, nuevos tiempos rítmicos, se retomaba el toque tribal y se insertaba groove por doquier en cada composición de este tipo de artistas, que poco a poco ganaban espacio y visibilidad y ampliaban el abanico de sonidos y la paleta de colores que el techno puede llegar a ofrecer. En realidad, Balls Baile, serie de eventos y sello discográfico creado con todos los cuidados y energías posibles por bw, busca justamente eso: reivindicar la libre elección de lo que nos define y nos gusta, sin que nadie tenga que adoctrinarnos hacia un patrón establecido, ni pretender que sintamos lo que no es tal. Elegir a quien besas, elegir con quien bailas, elegir lo que vistes, elegir lo que escuchas y elegir, cómo no, donde sales. En un triple debut en LAUT, este sábado contaremos con bw, Juan Bermúdez y no.masc. Ojalá elijas disfrutar de este 2 de septiembre noche en LAUT, porque las ganas de lxs tres artistas de pisar el club y trazar un recorrido por el techno que no puedes dejar de bailar (incluyendo un toque de dark, faltaría más), son muchas.
