For this particular show, we will be performing our signature Ruweda Format, an adaptation of the Ferris Wheel format — a long-form narrative structure where stories rise, intersect, and return in cycles.
Like a ferris wheel, scenes lift into focus, pause at emotional heights, descend into unexpected turns, and come back transformed. Characters reappear. Threads reconnect. Small moments echo in big ways.
While the discipline and structure of the format are practiced, all scenes are unscripted, unrehearsed, and spontaneously created in the moment.
Audience members may be asked to offer prompts or suggestions that become the central “axis” of the wheel — the force that sets everything in motion.
This is a dramatic narrative performance. While improv is often funny, it is not always comedy. The Ferris Wheel format allows for humor, poignancy, tenderness, tension, and surprise.
Because everything is created live, some themes may resonate differently with different audience members. It is never our intention to cause harm, and we will redirect with care when needed. Our hope is to create shows that are family-friendly, emotionally real, and truly memorable.
