Still feeling so grateful to have taught these amazing women last weekend with @mamadinya and @mamas.classes
Thank you to each and every one of you who showed up, moved with intention, and embraced your strength—especially in the heat. The energy in the room was something special.
Thank you for trusting me, for showing up for yourselves, and for reminding me (again) how incredible the pregnant body is.
So grateful to be part of this journey with you—and a big thank you to @mamadinya for inviting me into such a powerful space for mamas.

RE:BODY // This is what happens when we honour our health as a collective, not a solo journey.
This is what it means to be held gently, fully, without condition.
This is the embodiment of what safety, softness, and sisterhood truly looks like.
This is what it looks like when safety isn’t just spoken but also it’s felt.
This is what it looks like when care becomes a radical act.
This is what it looks like when Black women are prioritised, not just present.

Hi, I’m Steph — a physiotherapist who began my career specialising in paediatrics and neonatal care, supporting babies and children through some of the most important stages of their early development.
Over time, my interest has evolved. Though I continue to be passionate about treating children, I also now focus on women’s health — bringing a unique blend of understanding: supporting women both pre- and postnatally, while also understanding the baby — in the womb and during the newborn phase.
This perspective allows me to provide truly holistic care, connecting the physical and hormonal journey of womanhood with an informed understanding of early infant development.
Through Balanced by Steph, I help women feel strong, informed, and empowered — not just through pregnancy and postpartum, but across all stages of womanhood, including navigating hormonal health.
My clinical Pilates sessions are grounded in mindful movement, body education, and a deep understanding of how the body and hormones work together.
Meet the Black Baby Loss Awareness Week Advisory Board!
We’ve been meeting for months to plan various aspects of Black Baby Loss Awareness Week 2026 and we couldn’t let #BBLAW26 arrive next week without introducing you to the some of the people that have helped to shape its content, and develop it into a national campaign.
You can learn more about our Advisory Board when our website goes live 🙌🏾

1. Self education
2. Teaching Pilates for women’s health conditions
3. Prioritising my mental health
4. Supporting women through movement and education
5. Breathwork to lower my cortisol
6. Panels/ workshops & podcasts to educate women on self advocacy.
I’ve been romanticising looking after myself lately.
Movement, Rest, Skincare, Diet, MENTAL HEALTH.
Not that these weren’t priority in previous years but it definitely feels different. Movement isn’t just about aiming for a 20inch waist. Movement is a privilege and a necessity. & I’m still working on a few of these but here are what I’m telling myself are non negotiable… Hold me accountable.
My current non-negotiables:
• moving my body in a way that feels good (not like punishment)
• resting without guilt
• saying no without over-explaining (defo working on this)
• protecting my peace like it’s valuable
• speaking to myself with a little more kindness
What are yours ?
Now apply that to your healthcare.
Ask the question you feel is “too much.”
Request the referral.
Push for the second opinion.
Say no when something doesn’t feel right.
Explain your symptoms until you feel heard.
Because advocating for yourself isn’t being difficult
If you’ve been feeling off / constantly tired, dealing with recurring aches, or noticing changes in your mood, your body might be trying to get your attention.
These things are easy to brush off or push through, but they’re often signs that something needs a bit more support, not less.
You don’t have to figure it all out on your own 🤍
With the right guidance, you can start to understand what your body needs and feel more like yourself again.
To the mums, mums-to-be, stepmums, grandmums, and those who mother in their own beautiful way 💕
Today we celebrate the strength, patience and love that motherhood holds. The quiet moments, the long days, the endless giving, and the incredible resilience that so often goes unseen.
And to those who find today difficult ; those longing to become mums, those navigating loss, or those with complicated journeys - you are held and thought of too.
However today looks for you, be gentle with yourself. You deserve care, rest and love just as much as you give it.
Happy Mother’s Day 🤍
Happy International Women’s Day 🤍
Supporting women through movement, recovery, and all the phases our bodies go through is more than just my job, it’s something I care deeply about.
Women’s health has too often been misunderstood or overlooked, which is why creating a space where women feel heard, supported, and confident in their bodies means so much to me.
Every woman who walks into a class, shares their story, or trusts me with their journey reminds me why this work matters.
To strong women, supportive communities, and helping women feel at home in their bodies.
Steph 💕
