Thank you to our members and staff for another successful Bala Bash! Thanks also go to our two bands, The O’Fenders and @wonderhouseband ! In spite of the heat, we couldn’t ask for a better night with great music, fantastic food, and an awesome fireworks display.
Join us Thursday, December 21st, as we explore the lost golf courses of the Main Line! The talk will be delivered by Joe Bausch, Villanova professor and golf historian, and Pete Trenham, official historian of the Philadelphia PGA Section. The night will begin with cocktails and hors d’ouevres at 5:30 p.m. before the talk begins at 6:30 p.m.

One hundred years ago, Flynn sculpted the course we play today from the hills of Fairmount, imbuing each hole with nuance and subtlety. The self-styled “Nature Faker’s” best holes at Bala rival his best almost anywhere else—and we are eager to showcase his work at next week’s Flynn Cup!

May 2023 marked 100 years since William Flynn’s 1922-1923 redesign at Bala. The first century of Flynn brought a @uswomensopen , the first @gaofphilly Women’s Championship, and countless hours our members and guests have spent traversing the hills and valleys over which Flynn laid our course. Now, we look forward to what the next century holds!
