“ All you need is a few drops of rare flower essence, salt, pepper and river frog venom to concoct the potion. Pour it onto the rocky surface infested by parasite’s once the last phase of the lunar cycle begins.
Leave it to take effect; Oghamic inscriptions will appear on the north-east-facing parts of the stones, and the ceremony is ready to begin. Therianthropic creatures will appear in the glow of the full moon; playing this soundtrack may protect you from them during the rite.
As the oracle predicted: ‘All flows, within and without; all things have their time; all evolves and then decays.”

Pour cette quatrième et dernière édition de ce projet, La Chemin propose une balade sonore, entre concerts et dj set, sur la colline de Mounoy. Une selecta d’humains/artistes généreux et passionnants ont répondu presents à l’appel de notre cher totem sonore. Nous sommes tous.tes heureux.ses de partager à nouveau un moment de fête libre, cette fois-ci, sur deux jours, à partir du zenith du samedi jusqu’au crepuscule du dimanche.
📍Lieu: Chemin de Mounoy, 11400, Labacede-Lauraguais.
Attention: Contrairement aux éditions précédentes, l'entrée du site se fait via le village de Labécède-Lauragais,
à partir de Toulouse, suivre Castelnaudary sur la D622 jusqu'à l'intersection de Labécède-lauragais. Traverser le village. Prendre le chemin du Colombier puis prendre à gauche à l'intersection vers le chemin de Mounoy.
Des panneaux vous indiquera la chemin… :)
⛺️ Espace de camping sur la droite en arrivant. Ouverture du site à 15h. Début des sets/concerts à 16h.
Possibilité de se garer à cet endroit mais attention, le terrain sera humide ainsi nous vous conseillons de vous garer le long du chemin de Mounoy.
Il risque de pleuvoir, pensez à prendre des vêtements chauds et imperméables!

this relic was unearthed in the state of Victoria near Melbourne (AUS) in a stratigraphic layer assigned to 2005 using carbon-14 dating method. a self-released CD by a certain Nik Didge; no discographical information is available, suggesting it is likely a one-off release.
those tracks blends technoid-trance sound design with muted textures and the deep, resonant drone of the didgeridoo who creates a rich and immersive soundscape. tracks like ‘Deeproots’ or ‘Lightwaves’ transport you straight into the dark night of the Australian bush. others, such as the remix on track 5, feature a sunnier and more dreamlike soundscape evoking has his own way, I imagine, Tjukurrpa, the Aboriginal Dreamtime. 𖨆
a record that ranks among my finest finds of recent months, earning a place at the very top of my trophy shelf.(:

hey folks, we’re kicking off this series of posts on Australian music with this CD by the band Tribal Trance, about whom very little information is available.
They’re clearly a bunch of 90s hippies with a shared interest in Aboriginal cultures. The album shifts between ‘shamanic’ ambient music, ritual singing and percussion around the campfire. 🌌
Looking back, I realise that this post – and the upcoming ones on Australian music also touch on the issue of cultural appropriation by artists who don’t take into account the historical particularities of their region when attempting to replicate Aboriginal sounds and aesthetics which, I believe, involuntarily end up caricaturing them. This highlights a very problematic issue in Australia, flouting all the rules of cultural relativity.
What I am seeking to do here is archival work; I believe this must be viewed in relation to the reality of the contexts in which these records were produced: in a neo-colonialist world where the freedom and cultures of indigenous peoples are all too often stolen, plundered and distorted.

Have you ever heard of Koyote? It’s a uk label and distro run by Dara Lee during the 90’s & 00’. while browsing through the core of their catalogue, I found this ep by Yuji Hosoe. An obscure japanese producer which strays from the label usual ‘trance & goa’ DNA.
in my opinion, it’s a vastly underrated record. I like music that fits spaces in between and this plate offer two versatile sides that drew me with a unique aesthetic in a psych-breakbeat mood during the dig. the record can be played at a wide range of tempo, I’ve included some 33rpm + 8% versions on youtube, go tchek the full tracks ! this one is from an underrated 99’ french band that blends rock, dubs and drum & bass with some ethnic influences without falling into the « world-music » cliché.
think of them as a slightly more punk and transe-influenced version of Asian Dub Foundation, with a touch of french flair. 𓆏
I’ve uploaded my favorite tracks on YouTube but the album is much more diverse than those two!

Au sein d’un cursus universitaire centré en archéologie et en anthropologie, lèon tente d’orienter ses recherches autour de questionnements liés à l’archéoacoustique, la musique et ses liens avec l’art pariétal des grottes ornées.
Dans cette émission, il dessinera un paysage sonore à travers une sélection nous plongeant dans un paléo-environnement lointain ; flûtes en os, conques, lithophones, rhombes, racleurs...
Percevoir les sons équivaut à percevoir des sensations : la dimension auditive anime l’espace ou l’objet et les fait exister dans le temps, non plus seulement dans l’espace.
