What we ate at the Chinese New Year festival Part 2 (Dessert edition😉) We were so excited to see our favourite @bake_labb had a stall at the market, and made sure to make a beeline to her upon our arrival to snag a dessert because we KNEW she would sell out quickly. After our rice bowl and banh mi, we watched a few more performances and then we were ready for our sweet treat😈 Everytime I think Judy isn’t going to be able to top herself, I try something new from her and am once again blown away. This matcha tiramisu was DREAMY😍. Thick, soft mascarpone cream between soft lady fingers (soaked in two types of matcha!) and a layer of strawberry jam. Not too sweet and sooo light and fluffy. We also got a slice of her strawberry cake, which had Bake Labbs classic fluffy chiffon sponge texture, smooth creamy filling, and sweet jam to tie it all together. Like eating a cloud♥️ Huge thank you again to Judy, she’s such a talented baker and lovely person! I realised I never got a chance to do a dedicated post to what was potentially the coolest thing to happy to me this year - getting made this B E A U T I F U L cake by the very talented @bake_labb ❤️💚 We’ve been massive fans of Bake Labb since first visiting her at the @waiyeehong Lunar New Year event, and so getting made a cake by her to celebrate 4,000 followers back in the autumn was an absolute dream come true. The cake itself was matcha, strawberry yogurt and mochi (can you imagine a more perfect combination??) and was so incredibly light and fluffy.
