I've been futzing around with messenger bags for quite a long while now; from goat leather messengers to USPS delivery messengers to a mess of various kinds, then Cumpler and now Baileyworks.
Throughout all of those years and all of those bags slung around my shoulder, none of them have been as easy to use as the Baileyworks Super Pro messenger. It's got this groovy split-strap system which lets you loosen it on the fly and swing it around to your front so you can access it's innards and then swing it around again and easily cinch it back up. It also clips in the middle, so if you need to remove it quickly it can be done. Plus: waterproof.
At some point I'll make a more long-form video talking about my messenger bag love and all the various bags I've used, but these Super Pro's are *chefs kiss*

In 2019 through a series of life changes I I thought I was going to retire from life behind bars, with one of my favorite bags finally getting to the point it was no longer usable. I went looking for a reliable sturdy bag ready to order to “finish out” my last few months on the road, in that search I came across a very familiar company name in @baileyworksne I knew of multiple other couriers who had bags by them, it fit my price point and seemingly all of the other excessive requirements that a bag I use needed to meet. I picked up an xxl ready-made bag, I had it at my doorstep, in two or three days. I got it set up for the workday and expected to find one or two little issues, or a spot it rubbed funny, somewhere the waterproofing would wear unevenly…7 years later I still haven’t found it. It quickly became my every day bag, whether Ive got two bankers boxes or 4 units of blood from the hospital strapped to it, or just a few envelopes and a hoodie it stays waterproof, rugged and comfortable. When I reached out to them about supporting our season, I got to know the new owner pretty well and was stoked to see we had the same ideals on damn near every issue that matters to me as a small business owner and as an individual. They’ve recently made some changes and over the coming months will be doing a lot of cool stuff and we are stoked to support them the way they have been supporting us as they begin a new chapter. If you need a ready made, or custom bag made by good people make sure @baileyworksne is on your list, there are very few bags that last me more than a year or two and this one is certainly among the few!

My messenger bag obsession has grown and expanded. Literally - the bags keep getting bigger and bigger.
Bailey Works has been making messenger bags since 1993 right here in New Hampshire. First in Portsmouth, then Newmarket, and at the start of 2025, Bailey came under new ownership. I reached out to Bo, new owner of Bailey Works, and I have a few little projects lined up to help her get the word out and help bring the brand back to greatness after being adrift for a long while.
Here is my new SuperPro XL bag. This thing is an absolute beauty and it's HUGE (but not as large as their XXL messenger, which can literally hold a beer keg).
I spent the day with her at the start of the week, and I got to watch her sew my bag from scratch, as well as put all of these incredible patches that I've been collecting on the front flap.
