Bailey Quan’s knitwear collection Forest Floor grows from a deep admiration for the natural world, its messiness, its calm, and everything in between. Developed at the University of Technology Sydney, the project treats knitwear as storytelling, where texture, colour, and form reflect time spent immersed in nature. Six-colour jacquard artworks, produced with Calcoup Knitwear on Shima Seiki machines, come to life through vibrant hues shaped by natural dye experiments and their inherent unpredictability. Rooted in slow, sustainable craft and locally sourced natural fibres, the collection feels sculptural, expressive, and intentionally imperfect.
