it’s out! my new single Two Pint Taylor (In My Solitude) is now available to stream on your DSP of choice. this is the first song i wrote when i first moved to nyc (see last slide nov 8, 2024), so it is a special one for me. a lot of love went into it from some awesome people including @baileykrecords who engineered and mixed the damn thing at @fluxstudiosnyc , @teddy.mcgraw who played bass and slide in the sessions, my band mates @ethanlabouisse and @theorogers who showed me how this song is meant to be shredded on live, @cbenson6868 for moral support during recording, @shortstackny for giving me a space to demo this one out, @archer.c.e for the cover photo, and @pink_poseidon for visual direction and content development strategy. i included some of the original recordings of the song from way back when for your enjoyment. hope yall like it

Mir A portrait of disorientation and dissolution, “The Embassy” speaks in the language of broken telephone lines and faint radio transmissions from somewhere in a distant future-past. It drifts through ferries, ports, trains, and remote broadcast dead zones, traversing themes of missed connections and fractured communication. But those who listen closely will find that, underneath the desolation, there’s a shimmering optimism that one day, someone will answer the call. Produced by Bailey Kislak alongside Luc Bokor-Smith and Fab Dupont, “The Embassy” is a dramatic expansion of Parlour Magic’s sound. Armed with a full band behind them, Kislak, Bokor-Smith, and Dupont push boldly towards a guitar-driven sound inspired by the energy of the band’s live performances on the 2024-25 “Saturn Return” tour. Additional production comes from Luca Chesney, Florian Stepper, and Oren Levin, with further contributions from Chris Blanchard and Erez Levin, and string arrangements by Kristine Kruta. Parlour Magic will perform a special show at New York City’s Mercury Lounge on 6/4 to mark the release of the new album. Have some random studio shots, my treat.

Started off this year traveling about 2400 miles solo in a sprinter van packed with an x32, Juno-60, a couple of guitars, neon signs, an IEM rack, and countless other gear. I travelled from New York to Arizona in a little over 3 days, driving through snow storms in Pennsylvania and Ohio-and eventually wildfires just outside of Phoenix. Enough smog to block my view, but not enough to keep me from getting there. Touring with @parlour.magic and making memories with my best friends was a great way to start the year. We played in Phoenix and Tucson and made our way to LA (during the wildfires mind you) and even got some studio time in at Gold Diggers. This year I’ve made plenty of music with some very dear friends of mine. I’ve found time to do things that I enjoy amongst the chaos. I moved apartments twice this year, read some of my favorite books, and spent plenty of time with the people I love. I got to see one of my best friends in the whole world get married. It might be cliche to say it but I’m grateful for what this year has brought me. Even though the world’s on fire, be grateful for what you have and for those you love.
