where do I even begin? These last 3 years have been filled with surprises, achievements, passion, and fulfillment. While I have created some of the best moments of my life, I feel that it is my time to hang up my poms. This girl from Guam never expected to make it past the open audition, yet here we are 3 years later. I am forever proud to be one of 4 CHamoru women to make it to the @nfl . Dancing professionally always seemed out of reach, but something in my gut told me to give it a shot. Thank you @seahawksdancers management for taking that chance on this hip hop gal who just wanted to perform! It is because of you all that I find fascination in the glitz and the glam, get to work with my favorite artists, and explore dance parts of me that I thought were gone. The environment you’ve created to facilitate such support, growth, and empowerment throughout team is more than I could have ever asked for. Most of all, thank you for believing in me. Thank you to my team for welcoming me with open arms, teaching me about everything the @nfl world, pushing me to be a better dancer, supporting me, and lifting me up when I needed it most. Special shout out to my rookie sisters, onesie squad member, and all the life long besties I’ve made through this team! To my mother, my father, my sister, other family, and friends who have supported me at every step of my dance journey, I will never have the exact words to describe how grateful I am to have you all in my corner. Lastly, to my islander community, Si Yu’os ma’åse todus hamyo! I am forever grateful for our community who has watched, supported, and celebrated my wins in the NFL. I was born and raised in the island of Guam, and I take great responsibility in wearing my Chamoru heritage with pride, for I would not be here today without it. Dancing with the @seahawksdancers was more than getting to do what I love. It was about representing my community, working with our local community, and getting to feel the energy of the @12s . love letter to San Francisco 💌 haven’t been back to the bay since before I moved to Seattle and started college. blessed to have come back to check another dream off of my bucket list. life is crazy and I am more than grateful for this experience and all the love I’ve received along the way 🤎

5 years have both flown by and gone so slow. Grief is so weird because one day I’m sharing a silly story about how you used to hunt down wasps with a badminton racquet, and the next day I’m balling my eyes out hearing your favorite song to play on the ukulele at a wedding. In the last two years, I’ve been able to find a new normal without you physically which almost scares me. Yet, it doesn’t go without saying that I somehow continue to find parts of you in everyone I meet, especially now that I’m a teacher. These moments continue to remind me of how lucky I was to have you. I both hate not having you here, but am grateful that you are no longer suffering and that you can watch every performance or game I do. The things I would do for one last hug. I love and miss you forever 🕊️ 10~10~19

honored to have been one of the keynote speakers for the @guamsociety ’s annual Cherry Blossom Princess Coronation! I am even more grateful to end Mes CHamoru surrounded by my community. This event reminds me of the impact I have on our small, but mighty community. Everything I do is to make our island proud because I wouldn’t be here with everyone who’s supported me along the way.
