𝔗𝔥𝔢 ℜ𝔞𝔦𝔩𝔦𝔫𝔤𝔰, edition ii @alcova.milano miami 2025 84" x 38" x 38" 𝔗𝔥𝔢 ℜ𝔞𝔦𝔩𝔦𝔫𝔤𝔰 is an evolving collection of experimental play assemblies. in this edition, the railings are outfitted with a family of accessories, at once ornamental and functional, that suggestively proliferate “pipe dreams” (aka scenarios that the railings can host). each accessory activates a different bodily sense—the burn from the slap of a paddle or the fading scent of a cut flower. install assistants: matthew dutton, derenyieboobari gborogbosi

from a gay sauna in detroit to an historic inn, 𝔗𝔥𝔢 ℜ𝔞𝔦𝔩𝔦𝔫𝔤𝔰 lands in miami, exhibited with @alcova.milano , as part of miami design week. 2—7 december 2025 from 11 am to 7 pm miami river inn / 437 sw 2nd street room G101 𝔗𝔥𝔢 ℜ𝔞𝔦𝔩𝔦𝔫𝔤𝔰 is a collection of play assemblies that turns safety hardware into instruments of touch, play, and shared risk. handrails and cushions, stacked, doubled, strapped, unstrapped, folded, rolled, are repurposed to explore how bodies might encounter each other when the design logics of security are loosened. huge thanks to my install assistants, matthew dutton and derenyieboobari gborogbosi.

𝔗𝔯𝔞𝔡𝔢 𝔖𝔞𝔣𝔢 ℭ𝔥𝔞𝔰𝔱𝔦𝔱𝔶 𝔅𝔬𝔵, an interactive and mutable installation by Strat Coffman @bagstrat & Adam Barrett Miller @pneustars will transform into a rigging armature and setting for this rope bondage art that centers aesthetics, technique, form, and trust. Burns will suspend and maneuver models through an evolving sequence of restriction and release that animates the installation’s inversion of surveillance logics. On Friday, September 26 at 7:30pm, debuting alongside ‘Glances in Plain Sight’ Cine Apartamento presents an ongoing archival loop of images, text, and clips that expand upon the piece 𝕿𝖗𝖆𝖉𝖊 𝕾𝖆𝖋𝖊 𝕮𝖍𝖆𝖘𝖙𝖎𝖙𝖞 𝕭𝖔𝖝 by Strat Coffman & Adam Barrett Miller. Reconfiguring notions of surveillance, identity, the state, and old cruising spots, the loop highlights the ever expansive queer history of Los Angeles.
