A new mixtape in the ‘calm’ series has been recorded by Moscow-based artist Vova Polunin (@lesgeuzen ). His music has previously been released on Fuselab (@fuselabrecords ) and Imum Coeli (@warmneverhood ), and at the end of February he dropped a double single, ‘coin under the heel’, on the Beatriz (@bea3trizzz ) label. For the next hour, Vova will guide you through looping selections of his favorite mashups, introduce fellow cloud-rock artists, and share what feels like a new wave of ambient pop classics. «This mix is for listening with a sun-squint, heels clicking, and no matter how my bus has gone: when you feel the spring it’s a coin under your heel it’s the sun over your heel and car engines around» link in b☁️

Mixed from Moscow by @katyayonder A new mix for us was recorded by Katya Yonder — an artist, producer, and sound designer. Since childhood, Katya has been deeply in love with music. She first explored her parents’ vinyl collection, which ranged from medieval compositions and the Viennese and Russian classical schools to electronic music and ’70s–’80s pop. With the arrival of the internet, she immersed herself even further, exploring both fashionable and unfashionable, strange and familiar corners of the musical landscape. In early February, Katya released her new album Distant Closeness, dedicated to long-distance relationships. In it, she blends the retro sound of her favorite ’70s–’80s film scores with contemporary synthesis, all infused with a fairy-tale atmosphere. The album was released on @keelo_music — a multi-genre label community she recently launched together with two other musicians and artists. “I often find myself in a situation where I want to play a great track while I’m with friends, but we only have access to streaming platforms, and for some reason, it’s not there. So in this mix, I’ve gathered my discoveries from different years. Most of these tracks have been with me for a long time, even though the quality of the digitized versions often left much to be desired. Specifically for this mix, I partially restored the balance and resonances, and sometimes even corrected phase issues in almost every track of the selection.” Cover art by @pseudo.art.rose Link in b👒

A new mix in our calmness series was recorded by @rab.neba — a music producer and designer who has been working in ambient, electronic, and hip-hop genres since 2012. In 2023, his debut album (A)Iphoria was released on the Imum Coeli label. His style blends elements of electronic music, ambient, vaporwave, and dungeon synth. This year, he released singles on the Brussels-based label no more comedowns, as well as on the Beatriz compilation B Station: Skyway. «A mix about loneliness, acceptance, and love.» link in b🌠

Mixed from Paphos by Natasha Ganelina New mixtape for the series was recorded for us by Natasha Ganelina — curator at the UK-based online radio @rovr_live . In addition to Rovr, you may have heard her mixes on NTS. In the past, Natasha was the art director of the Strelka Bar in Moscow, where she brought some of the most cutting-edge musicians — from Dean Blunt and James Ferraro to Caroline Polachek and King Krule. «There are two opposite sub-personalities living inside me: One is a hundred-year-old ancient woman — wise, experienced, and longing only for peace. The other is a ten-year-old boy who dreams of discovering something new every day, getting into wild adventures, and collecting as many fresh emotions as possible. He plays with Bionicles, watches anime, but is already dreaming of his first parties. This mix is dedicated to him — the one who’s still not allowed at the parties. It’s his pre-party to adult life.» video by @ganelina music on the video by @djmegan2001 Cover art by @pseudo.art.rose Link in b

A new mix has been recorded for us by @fmsao9000 , aka Evgeny Shchukin — a southern cultural figure, music producer, and co-founder of the independent label @fuselabrecords . We’ve encountered his musical work twice already in our numbered series. The first time was through the project WOLS, where Zhenya explores the edges of hyperpop — a project that recently evolved into a full band performing instrumental live shows. The world of FMSAO, on the other hand, blends the beauty of nature with artifacts of a not-so-distant future. It’s here that his more abstract ambient forms emerge — built on dotted minor-key sequences, enveloping pads, and deeply pulsating rhythms. For the next two hours, we’ll be immersed in his chillout zone, exploring the boundless manifestations of ambient.Sit back and relax 🤍 «Compiled, recorded, and mixed in Krasnodar with love for everyone. It features various versions of today’s chillout. A few lo-fi ambient hits from TikTok. A lot from me, from FMSAO. I’ve shared these in my Telegram channel — they’re mostly unreleased, I call them fixes. Fixes, because I dig up an old track and keep ‘fixing’ it until it turns into chillout.Even though the mix is long, it’s crafted to loop seamlessly — the beginning and end flow together harmoniously. You can listen to it on repeat, in a calm and effortless way. This is the chillout zone. I also included tracks released over the years on our label, Fuselab. There’s a track by Hoavi, our dear friend Kirill. And one by Monokle — who’s also been released on our label. So yeah, from the heart. The mix is quite long — but I never make short ones anyway, so this is business as usual.» Check out his other mixes in our series — numbers 006 and 064, and don’t miss his 2024 album ‘Ультимэ’. link in b🌿

Mixed from Saint Petersburg by A. A. Today we’re sharing a special mix, recorded back in the fall of 2022. This new addition to the series comes from cultural theorist, music critic, and author of the telegram channel «ain’t your pleasure» — Artyom Abramov, now known as A.A. You might have come across his writing and interviews for syg.ma, reviews of the experimental record shop @stellage.highlights (now relaunched in Athens with worldwide delivery), book reviews for the Gorky project, and many other platforms exploring the edges of experimental music. «An EBM-ish mix from artists based in Brazil — a country that long ago gave up on the tiresome robotic twitch of ’80s aesthetics and instead learned to channel the best of acid techno, carioca funk, and batucada into the genre. Favela-dance for everyone!» Cover art by @pseudo.art.rose link in bio⛑

Mixed from Saint Petersburg by @_geklaper Another chapter in our C-series comes from electronic musician Geklaper, based in Saint Petersburg. We first discovered his music back in 2023, when he released his fifth album ‘brighter’, and we couldn’t resist inviting him to create a mix inspired by it. The next hour is an immersive portal into a selection of ambient dub and downtempo tracks from the time when ‘brighter’ was recorded. Inside, you’ll find music by Piper Spray, Lena Tsibizova, Mike Midnight, Space Afrika, and more. b in link🧊

Mixed from Moscow by @klotho_zvuk A new path on our cloud of serenity — a one-hour floating journey through the worlds of Homer and Plato by the multifaceted producer, DJ, and musician Mark Griboedov, who today manifests through his project Klotho. «In search of hidden realities. The world is filled with energies and waves, many of which remain invisible and elusive. We have learned to measure some of them, but much escapes beyond the reach of instruments and human perception, leaving only mysterious hints of another existence. Music becomes a guide to these transcendental worlds, allowing us to touch what cannot be expressed in words or seen with the eyes. It is the language of subtle vibrations, linking dimensions in the pulsation of infinity. Through sound, we feel the breath of the Universe, immersing ourselves in its blissful grandeur.» link in b☁️

Mixed from Venice by @___cruisecontrol___ In our haven of tranquility, enjoy a new mix from a longtime project subscriber — Cruise Control. «The mix slowly leads the listener into an ethereal, muffled, and suspended dimension, far from any tangible physical or mental place. It’s like allowing yourself to chase something that suddenly distracts you: a random thought that creeps in, a sensation, a smell, only to find yourself so immersed that you no longer remember how you got there or why. The only thing to do is to stop and feel. This mix celebrates the complete absence of points of reference, the act of getting lost in thoughts, and the peaceful acceptance of emptiness and moments of pause as sources of creativity and renewal.» link in b🌫

Mixed from Tbilisi by @based.vasya We’ve missed such mixes in the series — a genre Frankenstein, compiled with a barely perceptible thread of the selector’s intuition by the creator of the gunshot, airhorn & rewind channel and the @attentionmngmnt — Vasily Likhoy, aka Likhoy. For the next hour, the devotee of the canonical rave sound will have their heartbeats tested by torn house, electro-dub edits, straight techno, and industrial trap. «The mix is 80% tracks from sets in 2021-2022 + some rare stuff. Originally, I WAS SAVING them for another Year of the Dog, our series of illegal raves in abandoned places, but the last event was shut down by police long before it was my turn to play. You could call it the perfect version of a peak-time set for friends.» gunshot, airhorn & rewind: https://t.me/gunshotairhornrewind 👟link v bio

Mixed from Moscow by @settimatacca We are excited to introduce you to a new story brought to life by Moscow-based multidisciplinary artist Apollinaria Kaspars, also known as Settima Tacca. Despite her cinematic album Wondrous Feelings of Ages Long Gone released on vinyl last year, her latest self-published release, Demos 4 Nobody, has a much more outsider feel. It leans heavily on raw rhythms, minimalist synths, and guitar experiments. Although written four years ago, Polina’s discography today includes another venture in a similar vein: her collaboration with Ksenia Kruchinski in the krautrock and no-wave band @ksssssssusha In 2023, they released an album titled Polina. “I’m sitting in a house in a village near the town of Mozhaysk, looking out at a field through the window. Beyond it there is a mysterious and slightly unsettling young birch grove, an icy river called Iskona, and my favorite little forest with a ravine. That’s where my dog hunts foxes while I sit on different stumps, sipping chaga that tastes like Coca-Cola. When I write music, I take breaks to gaze out this window. Late autumn feels like early spring, except in spring, all the tall grass is flattened after a long sleep under the snow. This is my mix, recorded in late spring, left lying in the summer grass, and soaked by autumn rains. It has become just as mysterious and slightly unsettling as that grove. But only I know this.” Link in b🦉
