nasha is probably the most random and senseless song i’ve made so far, it was born out of a mutual love for Fred again and Natasha Noorani that
@kartique_ and I shared and was born after an hour of just trying something with 4 lines I made up on the fly that I didnt feel like changing later on.
The idea for the music video came much later. After
@_kai26_ first heard it she shared a visual vision and said that she’d want to direct it and I knew that if we do put our minds to it, we can make it happen.
What followed was 6 months of exchanging voice notes, self doubting and procrastinating to a point where we werent sure if it could happen.
Why am I telling you all this?
Because this story had to be told, this vision had to be shared. I’ve always wanted to tell stories with my music, show the world as I see it and this was the first time I’ve been able to do so visually. As a DJ, I had to make a party anthem, but also as a DJ, parties have never been just about fun and vibes. Its a lingering fear, a caution that doesn’t feel real and you’ll hope it’ll never be for you. And the scariest part? It could be anyone. This story is one that often goes unnoticed, dismissed or forgotten. But its one I see and had to show to anyone and everyone who doesn’t. So here you go.

@prince.aka.lama hopped on board and understood exactly what we wanted and how we wanted it to look as soon as he heard it. Anyone who gets to work with hin should consider themselves lucky tbh, he’s rare.

@pakhioinkoink being the main character i’ve always believed her to be. Only she knows how she brought the character to life in the toughest circumstances to shoot in. I’m so grateful to have the bestest friend ever.
And to everyone else who showed up on a short notice, danced to silence so we could have the right shot and made the most intense 4 hours ever a breeze.
