Last night went to see @cometogetheralbumstour perform Dark Side Of The Moon in Auckland.
@badsams was using my ‘Tui’ pickups in his Strat.
For me it was such a great opportunity to hear my work loud through a great PA with a pro player.
I designed that pickup, constructed the bobbins, pressed in the eyelets, cut the threads for the mounting screws, wound and potted them, fitted steel baseplates and wrote on the bottom of them.
I didn’t realize how much of myself I invest in my pickups until I was talking to my 11yo daughter on the way home explaining why Daddy was crying in the theatre.
