Alec Lewis Group is an Albany, NY based four-piece playing original songs and compositions by producer, sound engineer, and frontman Alec Lewis. The group mixes contemporary funk with guitar-driven classic rock and blues, all with a slick pop finish.
Bad Monk is a an Albany, NY based funk/soul/jazz/fusion group lead by bassist Brad Monkell. A āfunk band playing more than just funkā, this talented group lays down killer performances at Night Clubs, Jazz Clubs, and everywhere in-between.
The Van Dyck in Schenectadyās Historic Stockade District has been a home for live entertainment since 1947, and in 2024 we hosted our first shows on the second floor at 237 Union St as the Van Dyck Music Club. In additon to reestablishing the Van Dyck as the Capital Regionās premier location for Live Jazz, the VDMC is also a home to Comedy, Drag, Burlesque, Murder Mystery Theatre, and high quality perfomances of all genres & style.
