My first show ever (with @wesography at The Schoolhouse many moons ago) was opening for @denisonwitmer during his Safe Away touring. I was so stunned by his songs I went immediately to buy the album after. I was a teenager and only had a check book (lol). Denison told me I could just have the cd so that he didn’t have to deal with the check (double lol). That cd spun for long hours in my life, as did Philadelphia Songs, Are You a Dreamer? And so on. Those songs would be in my life-soundtrack for sure.
So, obviously, being a part of this show and singing with him was so special. Not to mention being an extended @nielsenfamilyband member for a few weeks. Not to MENTION tackling arrangements created with @sufjan
It was sort of like going to summer camp and I LOVE summer camp.
So much thanks to Denison for letting me sing along to this beautiful piece of work, which has now joined all his other albums etched into my brain. 🌳💚
Also amazing to bask in the voice of @meglui for the first time ever!!! The song Gone Girl had me wanting to throw this phone right in the trash.

Last October, my friends and I took over Kate and Andrew Martin’s creek house for a weekend and made a music video. I thought Things in the Dark would come out at that time but I hit a self-doubt spiral and took the long way round to this October song. But here we are now! And it’s been really nice to revisit the visuals. That was a very fun weekend.

Pure Gold has always always needed strings. In production we had some software strings but we didn’t love them and took out most. BuT ooH MY hearing it with @weird_mirror playing real strings in such a real and rad way?! Do you see that little smile on my face?! Felt so good. Thank you to the friend that sent me this!
